MANILA: The Motorcycle Development Program Participants Association, Incorporated (MDPPA) enjoyed 19-percent sales increase last October.

For the first 10 months of the year, the MDPPA sold 1,581,817 units — reflecting a 13.5-percent rise from the 1,393,426 two-wheelers turned over to clients for the same period last year.
“This steady growth highlights how motorcycles remain a practical and essential mode of transport for many Filipinos, particularly as they continue to seek affordable, fuel-efficient, and traffic-resilient mobility solutions,” the group mentioned.
Photo by Juan Paulo PapaGiven the momentum, the MDPPA expressed optimism that the industry will close the year with more than 1.79 million units handed over to customers — buoyed by continued demand and strong performance across regions.
“With just two months to go, we are on pace to surpass our earlier targets, and we expect full-year sales to reach more than 1.79 million units. This growth reflects how deeply motorcycles have become a part of everyday life for Filipinos," MDPPA Engr. President Alexander Cumpas was quoted as saying.
