Local Honda big bike clubs ride south

MANILA: No road is too lengthy if you enjoy the ride, it has been known among gearheads. And if a ride is done with friends, it's never boring. Though some choose to ride alone in order to properly appreciate the scenery without the stress of time, the majority prefer to ride in a group since it creates a relationship amongst like-minded people who share the same passion for motorcycling endlessly.

Honda Philippines, Inc. (HPI), the number one motorcycle manufacturer in the Philippines, supports this program to promote the riders’ sense of belongingness and strong bonds felt from riding in packs.

After the pandemic safety protocols came to ease, HPI was aggressive to quench the riders’ thirst for a long ride with two fun runs, the Southern Escapade to Tagaytay and the Freedom Ride to Infanta, Quezon.

“As an initiative of HPI, Honda’s Big Bike Riding Community brings to life the essence of what we call the ‘Joy of Riding a Honda,’” said Jomel Jerezo, Vice President of HPI. “HPI truly goes beyond manufacturing motorcycles. With this project, it also proves that the best experiences and memories with your bike are the ones shared with people fueled by the same passion.”

Honda’s Big Bike Ride Community gathers owners of other sporty and imposing bikes from the brand, for long rides to grab an early meal out of town and bond over the unique achievement after a long ride — activities that exemplify the joy of mobility of having a Honda. The activity requires interested riders to have enough experience and a valid driver’s license. Passing the community’s pre-assessment check is also a must.

Honda’s Big Bike Ride Community serves as an extension of Honda’s One Dream Ride project, where Honda riders get to meet new friends and go on relaxing trips outside the busy streets of the city.

Recently, Honda Philippines held an exhilarating riding activity in Negros Oriental province with a theme “Feel Your Adventure.” The destination highlights Sibulan as the starting point traversing the trail up to the mountainous landscape of Valencia.

The Trail Ride participants are proud owners of CRF150L and CRF300L coming from different places such as Sibulan, Dumaguete City, Guihulngan, Jimalalud, Zamboanguita and as far as San Carlos City. They were welcomed and oriented by the Trail Master and Team Leader for Safety Riding to the 70-km trail route prepared for them with a mix of dirt, muddy, rocky, and concrete road passing Mag-aso Sulfur Vent.
