Here are some bits of information about the newly-announced Honda WN7.
WN7 Notable bits
Embodying more than 75 years of Honda's motorcycle development experience and expertise, the electrified two-wheeler wears a slim and futuristic look.
The lithium-ion battery fitted in the Honda WN7 gives it a range of over 130 kilometers. This can be charged using a CCS2 that can juice up the energy bank from 20 to 80 percent in half an hour. At home it can be completely charged in under three hours.
One of creature comforts that is present in the motorcycle is its five-inch digital screen that has the Honda RoadSync connectivity.
Honda claims that its performance rivals 600 cubic centimeter (cc) mill-powered models in terms of horsepower and even 1,000-cc motorcycles in torque.
Should this enter the Philippine market, it would out push electrified mobility alongside Honda EM1 e:.
Launched locally in 2024, the small electric scooter is equipped with a brushless, in-wheel, three-phase motor (located at the rear wheel of the electric scooter) that can provide churns of:
|
Maximum output (in horsepower) |
2.2 |
|
Peak torque (in Newton-meters) |
90 |
Its Honda Mobile Power Pack e: is made with a lithium-ion battery unit and has a capacity of 26.1 amperes with power of 50.26 volts. The electric two-wheeler consumes some 47 watt-hours per kilometer.
It also offers two drive modes namely “Standard” and “Econ” — with the former letting the motorcycle reach 41.3 kilometers (kms) of all-electric range while the latter, as much as 48 kms.
Available in Pearl Sunbeam White and Digital Silver Metallic, the locally-retailed Honda EM1 e: has a suggested retail price of P155,400. The said package comes with a battery and off-board charger.
Meanwhile, a new energy bank would cost customers some P42,500 while an additional charger is priced P18,000.
