MANILA: The brand-new V-Strom 250SX has been unveiled by Suzuki Philippines Inc. (SPH), in the motorcycle brand’s effort to increase its share in the adventure motorcycle segment.
After the local distributor for the Japanese automaker posted teasers on its social media platforms, the model was formally introduced. The local V-Strom selection now has three models thanks to the addition of the sport adventurer tourer.
Retailing for P229,000, the 2023 Suzuki V-Strom 250 SX is available in two colors: Champion Yellow and Glass Sparkle Black.
The 2023 Suzuki V-Strom 250SX measures 1,440 mm in length, 1,355 mm in height, and has a 205 mm ground clearance.
Similar to its larger stablemates, the 2023 Suzuki V-Strom 250SX wears a tough appearance to complement its rider-focused features.
The newly launched model's large windscreen, knuckle covers, and beak-like front, which were inspired by the storied DR-2 and DR-BIG models, give it a similar appearance to the other "Master of Adventure" motorcycles. It also has an aluminum footrest wrapped in rubber to dampen vibration and a rear carrier/grab bar with a six-kilogram capacity. LED lighting finishes the Suzuki V-Strom 250SX’s list of equipment.
The 249 cubic centimeter (cc), four-stroke, single-cylinder, four-valve, fuel injected, single overhead cam engine that powers the Suzuki V-Strom is reputed to deliver torque at low revs and a smooth start-up. Both novice and experienced riders have been considered for the engine’s design and performance.
The Suzuki Eco Performance and Suzuki Oil Cooling System, which guarantee low fuel consumption, durability, and optimum engine performance, are also included in the powertrain.
Meanwhile, a dual-channel anti-brake lock mechanism provides the braking force. The swingarm-style rear suspension with an adjustable seven-step preload and telescopic front forks , which have a 120mm suspension stroke, both help to dampen road ruts. The motorcycle is supported by 17-inch tires in the back and 19-inch wheels up front.
