According to the Japanese motorcycle manufacturer, the two new products carry round headlights inspired by the flat-bottom light commonly seen in Suzuki’s past models, and the brand’s first handlebar-end mirrors that gave them a neo-retro look.

Reminiscent to the T500, a high-performance naked motorcycle from the 1960s, the all-new Suzuki GSX-8T boasts a color scheme that emphasizes the tank by wearing a matte black on the body’s rear portion and a three-dimensional emblem on the shroud inspired by the eight ball.

On the other hand, the all-new Suzuki GSX-8TT is outfitted with a headlight cowl that is similarly-looking to the brand’s past models to match its under cowl, inspired by 1970s road racers. Its body includes black front forks and shrouds, gray seat rails, and sporty wheels and decal accents. Suzuki shared that "TT" in the name denotes the merging of the base model GSX-8T with "Timeless" — signifying the revival of classic motorcycles in a modern context.

Two offerings sit on cast wheels wrapped in 120/70ZR17M/C tires at the front and 180/55ZR17M/C for the rear.

Powering both models are the 776-cubic centimeter, liquid-cooled, four-cycle parallel, two-cylinder double overhead cam engine mated to a six-speed constant mesh transmission. This powertrain is said to have an average fuel consumption of 23.8 kilometers per liter (based on World Motorcycle Test Cycle standards).

Further, fumes come out from their two-into-one exhaust system that is equipped with a dual-stage catalytic converter inside the collector that helps meet Euro 5 emissions standards. Based on tests, the setup helps the motorcycles emit as little as 99 grams per kilometer.

The latest offerings also come with a host of numerous technologies that come in the form of electronic control systems to assist riders (Suzuki Drive Mode Selector [SDMS>), ride by wire, and bi-directional quick-shift system, and a lightweight, compact lithium-ion battery that keeps high startability even in low temperatures.
