Audi Q8 E-tron

The cabin of the 2024 Audi Q8 e-tron is premium and is packed with lots of equipment. Aluminium and leather have been used to trim the cabin’s surface. Three large displays dominate the dashboard, including a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment unit. There’s a lower 8.6-inch display unit for the climate control functions. There’s also the Audi Virtual Cockpit instrument display screen. The cabin is spacious and has a grey surface with gloss-black trim. But the latter is also prone to smudges and scratches. The 2024 Audi Q8 e-tron’s cabin is practical with large door bins and lots of storage spaces. The are four USB type-C charging ports, including two for the rear seats. The large panoramic roof makes the cabin look bigger. The central console and the under-armrest have plenty of space. The glove box is larger than average. The car comes with 569 liters of boot space. Folding the rear seat down increases the cargo area.  

Audi has lent a styling upgrade to the 2024 Q8 e-tron. The mesh grille, with black elements stretching to the sides, stands out. It forges a wider look on the car. A light bar runs across the entire width of the grille and connects with the superb-looking LED Matrix headlights. The 2024 Q8 e-tron gets the all-new 2D Audi logo. It’s finished in solid white, sans any chrome. Other changes comprise restyled and sharper bumpers. The chin on the bumpers has gloss-black finishing. The e-tron name is embossed on the bumpers. The tailgate gets the new Q8 badge. A closer look will reveal ‘Audi’ and ‘Q8 e-tron quattro’ engravings on the blacked-out B-pillar. The car runs on 20-inch alloy wheels.

The 2024 Audi Q8 e-tron’s cabin is spacious. The two front seats get an electronic adjustment. The driving position is spot-on with superb all-round visibility. There’s enough headroom for taller drivers. The rear seat is comfortable, even with the compromised space of the battery. Occupants don’t have to push their feet up and can travel comfortably for long hours. The middle passenger’s seat is a bit raised because of the large central console between the front seats. This eats into the legroom.  The 2024 Audi Q8 e-tron is among the most well-composed EVs around. It comes with a standard air suspension that brilliantly absorbs all bumps and thuds. The cabin is noiseless, courtesy its insulation and the electric motor.

The entry-level model of the 2024 Audi Q8 e-tron is equipped with two all-wheel-drive permanent magnet motors that produce a combined output of 335 PS/664 Nm. The motors are powered by a liquid-cooled 95.0kWh lithium-ion battery. The battery can fast-recharge up to 80 percent in just 28 minutes. The car feels more bulky than it actually is but handles well within town. On highways, it returns a well-composed drive. The adaptive cruise control makes highway driving easier.

The 2024 Audi Q8 e-tron comes with advanced cameras instead of wing mirrors. There’s also a standard rear-view camera that helps in parking and getting into tight spaces. The car gets advanced wing cameras instead of wing mirrors that help in eliminating blind sports. Other safety equipment includes lane departure warning, camera-based traffic sign recognition, all-round parking sensors and multiple airbags.

At a starting price of ₱6.25 million, the 2024 Audi Q8 e-tron is an expensive EV. It comes with a lot of tech and two powerful motors. The drive isn’t much exciting but it’s a comfortable car for both in-city driving and highway cruising. It lacks the luxury quotient but is a nice car in the electric SUV segment.
