The interior of the Chevrolet is quite comfortable and spacious, thanks to the platform which is taken from the Silverado pickup. The infotainment system is quite informative, and so is the driver’s console. The comfort level is taken care of pretty well and the seats are very compliant. There is an optional leather upholstery that the buyers can opt for, making it even more plush and modern.

A total of eight occupants can sit comfortably. However, the space behind the third row is a little on the inferior side and the users might feel it is too low. But fold the rear row and you will have a huge cargo storage capacity.

The present iteration of the Chevrolet Tahoe is a bit old and the same shows its appearance. However, barely anyone can deny its handsome and powerful presence. It looks big and majestic with a very unique setup of the front grille and headlamps. The front fascia exhibits a two-boxed design and a rather retro styling. Even the wheel arches are too sedated for an SUV so muscular, though 22-inch wheels make up for it.

The footboard and the prominent are some of the standout aesthetic elements, though you cannot ignore the contoured shoulder line too. The rear section is rather plain and simple and there is nothing artistic about the design.

The Chevrolet Tahoe is crazily powerful but maybe a little too much for the platform to handle. Not that it is not compliant with the safety parameters, but it has to do more with the driving experience. The accelerator pedal might feel very pleasant and fun but the same is not channelled to the driving experience. It feels raw, much like a powerful pickup truck.

While you are passing by someone at a pace, you might get the confidence of the “wow” factor. However, you can definitely accelerate at a brisk pace, all thanks to the mammoth 516 Nm of torque.

If there was one thing that the Chevrolet Tahoe excels in, it would be the power delivery to the wheels. The powerful V8, 5.3-litre engine does manage to thump out a huge 355 bhp of power and 516 Nm of maximum torque. The power is sent down to the wheel via an automatic gearbox.

However, there is another thing that would not sound so compliant with an SUV of this calibre. The rear-wheel-drive is not what you would need to hit the off-road. However, it does offer a lot of sportiness and you can feel the power on the throttle a little too much.

The Chevrolet Tahoe, despite being a little dated on the aesthetic, the safety parameter is quite sorted. For example, the massive wheels of the SUV have disc brakes, along with an anti-lock braking system. Hence, braking is never compromised at all.

Moreover, once you get inside the cabin, you will notice the optimum number of safety airbags for the occupants in case of an unforeseen circumstance. Besides that, there are other driver-assistance as well, just to be in line with other cars in the price band.

The Chevrolet Tahoe seems to be drifting to its end of life in this generation. Hence, it would not be very wrong to call it dated, inside out. However, what is staggering is the fact that it is still very relevant to its competitors, only that its fierceness has dipped greatly. Hence, with such massive power on offer, it is definitely a great SUV to buy.
