My search for a rough truck ended with the Ford Ranger. It has plenty of muscle and power. What surprised me was the cabin that has received the star treatment, with a new shift lever, a honeycomb pattern on the air vents, and updated materials. The infotainment system is also vertically oriented. It can handle all kinds of terrains. From stability control, driver assist features, and the steering wheel’s feel, all the way to the transmission, this vehicle delivers the kind of performance you can think of at any given moment.
