Like in the exterior, the Hyundai Staria breaks the conventional norms with its cabin too, with the interior having a futuristic and feature-rich vibe to it. For a van, the Staria has a very premium-looking cabin with excellent levels of fit and finish as well as equipment. While the Premium+ has brown-coloured Nappa leather upholstery, the other variants are available with the choices of black and beige fabric upholsteries.

The driver’s cockpit of the Hyundai Staria gets a modern 10.25-inch full-TFT instrument console behind the four-spoke multi-functional steering wheel. The AC vents in the driver and co-driver side of the dashboard are sleek-looking units, with the centre console housing a new-age 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system and physical buttons for the auto AC.

The cabin of the Hyundai Staria is further equipped with contemporary features like dual sunroofs, wireless charging pad, electronic buttons for transmission and electronic parking brake, ventilated and heated front seats, smart powered tailgate, USB ports for all seats, one-touch relaxation rear seats, power sliding side doors and BOSE audio system.

The Hyundai Staria is easily one of the most radical-looking vehicles currently on sale in the Philippines, as there are very rare vehicles, that too in the MPV or van category, which wear a design as futuristic-looking as that of it. There are several design elements in the exterior of the Staria which make it look eye-catching, though the overall design language is too radical for some people, who might find it overboard.

The front profile of the Hyundai Staria gets vertical rounded rectangular housings for the LED projectors for the Premium+ variant, while the other variants come with smaller pentagonal all-LED headlamps. In all the variants, the headlamps are housed within the extreme corners of the wide-looking grille, which has a bronze finish in Premium+ and a dark chrome finish in other variants. There is a long daytime running LED strip running across the width of the front fascia of the Staria, adding more visual drama to the front look of the van.

All the variants of the Hyundai Staria have the same conventional look with large-sized windows and sliding doors. The front quarter glass has an angular design, while the rear window panels have an upright look to them. The Staria also gets 18-inch alloy wheels, along with a cleaner-looking rear profile, where it has vertically-laid parametric LED tail lamps and a huge windscreen.

For a large and boxy people mover which has the stance of a traditional van, the Hyundai Staria is quite a dynamically excellent vehicle to drive. While slight body roll can be felt at higher speeds, the low-speed ride quality is well-sorted. The four driving modes – Smart, Normal, Eco and Sport – further enhance the driving experience of the Staria.

The entire lineup of the Hyundai Staria is solely available with a 2.2-litre four-cylinder diesel engine of the Hyundai Staria. Coupled with an 8-speed automatic transmission, this engine produces a maximum power output of 177 bhp, while the peak torque output is rated at 431 Nm.

Apart from having an extensive list of features inside-out, the Staria also has a comprehensive suite of safety features, with it getting six airbags, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control, tyre pressure monitoring system, lane keeping assist, forward collision avoidance assist, manual speed limit assist, front and rear parking sensors and a 360-degree camera.

Keeping the polarizing looks aside, which also make it an attention magnet, the Hyundai Staria manages to impress every person with its premium interiors, extensive features and composed ride quality.
