Hyundai Motor PH to bring in Staria hybrid?

MANILA: Hyundai Motor Philippines (HMPH) might be bolstering the Staria lineup with the possible addition of a hybrid variant. 

Homologation documents from the Land Transportation Office confirmed the forthcoming expansion of the nameplate’s roster. 

Based on the said documents, the Hyundai Staria Hybrid will have a four-pot, 1.6-liter engine with hybrid technology that uses a lithium-ion phosphate battery. 

It is said to produce as much as 241 horsepower (hp) with a top speed of 200 kilometers per hour. 

Below are its measurements: 

• Overall dimensions (length, width, height; in millimeters [mm>): 5,255 x 1,995 x 1,990
• Wheelbase (in mm): 3,275
• Ground clearance (in mm): 160 

It will be fitted with 18-inch wheels with 235/55 series tires.
