JAC T8 Pro

The JAC T8 Pro comes with a rather refined and well-equipped interior. The cabin is a mixture of faux-leather upholstery and durable plastics that ensuring durability. The interior has a black theme with silver or chrome accents. There’s a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system that supports Bluetooth but lacks Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The interface is responsive and relatively easy to navigate, but some users may find the graphics a bit basic compared to rivals. There’s also a digital-analogue instrument panel that provides clear and easy-to-read vehicle information.

Storage compartments are thoughtfully placed, including cup holders, a central console box, door pockets, and a glove compartment.

The JAC T8 Pro sports a bold and aggressive design, making it stand out on the road. It features a large -accented front grille, sleek headlights and daytime running lights (DRLS), and a muscular hood that adds to its commanding presence. The car gets all-around LED lighting. The 210mm ground clearance ensures that it can handle rough roads and minor off-road challenges with ease. The 18-inch alloy wheels, integrated side steps, and durable cargo bed further add to its rugged appeal. The rear features a simple yet stylish design with sleek taillights and a robust tailgate, giving the pickup a modern look while maintaining its practicality. The cargo bed is spacious with 520mm in length, 1,520mm in width, and 470mm in height. 

The JAC T8 Pro is available in black, blue, red, silver, grey, and white colours.

The seats of the JAC T8 Pro provide a comfortable experience for both the driver and passengers. The front seats offer decent bolstering for long drives, though lumbar support could be improved. The rear seats are spacious for three passengers. But the seatback is slightly upright and that may not be ideal for long trips.

The JAC T8 Pro provides a comfortable ride, courtesy of its well-calibrated suspension setup. While the suspension is tuned for carrying loads, the ride quality remains comfortable for passengers. The rear leaf-spring setup can make the ride feel a bit bumpy, which is nothing unusual for a pickup truck.

The JAC T8 Pro Comfort is hauled by a turbocharged, four-cylinder, liquid-cooled, 2.0-litre diesel engine that produces 137 PS/320 Nm. The motor is mated to a six-speed manual transmission. The power delivery is smooth, making the truck well-suited for both city driving and off-road adventures. 

For a pickup truck, the JAC T8 Pro offers a fairly comfortable and stable ride, thanks to its double-wishbone independent front suspension and leaf spring rear suspension. While the rear setup is designed primarily for load-bearing, it does contribute to a slightly bumpy ride when driving without cargo. The multifunction steering wheel is light and responsive, making it relatively easy to manoeuvre in city traffic. The truck’s turning radius is on the larger side because of its size. It requires extra effort in tight parking spaces or narrow streets. On highways, the JAC T8 Pro feels planted.

Safety features in the JAC T8 Pro include antilock braking, traction control, and stability control. Dual airbags are standard. The rear-view camera and parking sensors help improve visibility when negotiating tight spaces. But the JAC T8 Pro still lacks some advanced driver-assist features that competitors in higher price brackets offer. But the JAC T8 Pro still offers sufficient safety for everyday driving and light off-road use.

The JAC T8 Pro is available in two models in the Philippines, with prices starting at ₱1.045 million. It’s a compelling option in the midsized pickup truck segment. The combination of affordability, modern features, and robust performance makes the JAC T8 Pro an attractive choice for buyers.
