Lotus Eletre Review 2026
Lotus expanded its range within the local market through the introduction of the Eletre, an electric hyper-SUV. The Lotus Eletre combines an SUV’s capability and ruggedness on the road with EV performance that is capable of taking on modern, petrol-powered sports cars. It exudes immense energy and youthfulness both inside and out, living up to its name–”Eletre,” which means “coming to life.” In the Philippines, the Lotus Eletre is available in five variants:
- Eletre 600, priced at ₱8.4 million
- Eletre 600 GT SE, priced at ₱8.999 million
- Eletre 600 Sport SE, priced at ₱10.3 million
- Eletre 900 Sport, priced at ₱11.3 million
- Eletre 900 Sport Carbon, priced at ₱12.5 million
Lotus Eletre Interior & Features
Inside, the Lotus Eletre features a luxurious cabin that comes with a very nice blend of soft-touch materials and premium stitches all around. For a more prestigious feel, the 900 series variants get a Quartz interior trim, which showcases a sophisticated-looking contrast of colours. You have plenty of room in the first row and sufficient space in the second row. However, the driver’s rear visibility is a bit limited by the second row seats’ high headrests. But, on the plus side, its LOTUSWEAR Performance fabric-upholstered seats are very well-padded and offer great ergonomic comfort even on long-distance trips.
Upfront, this SUV comes with a 15.1-inch OLED central infotainment display that is equipped with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, 5G telematics with Over the Air updates, and Lotus Connect Core, and is connected to a 23-speaker KEF premium audio system.
Meanwhile, drivers are greeted by an intelligent cockpit that consists of a 29-inch heads-up display, a 12.6-inch digital driver display, as well as a LOTUSWEAR Performance fabric-wrapped steering wheel for the 900 series variants. Owners of the 600 series trims get the charcoal leather-wrapped version. This SUV also comes with a respectable trunk space at the back. Ultimately, the Lotus Eletre’s cabin is not only high-tech and luxurious, but also practical and functional.
Eletre Exterior
For starters, all variants of the Lotus Eletre are 5,103 mm in length, 2,231 mm in width with the mirrors out, and 3,019 mm in wheelbase. All variants except for the base 600 trim are 1,636 mm in height and have a 194 mm maximum ground clearance. On the other hand, the base 600 variant has a height of 1,630 mm and a maximum ground clearance of 187 mm. The 900 series variants run on 22-inch 10-spoke gloss black alloy wheels, while the 600 GT SE and Sport SE variants get the 10-spoke diamond turned version. Meanwhile, the base 600 variant gets 20-inch 5-spoke aero alloy wheels.
From the outside, the Lotus Eletre flaunts a high-performance look. Its facade slightly resembles the Lamborghini Urus. It has a confident glare courtesy of its sharp adaptive LED matrix headlights and slim LED DRLs. An active grille that displays a lotus flower-like motif is placed beneath its smooth fascia for better powertrain ventilation and reduced drag, consequently enhancing its driving range and overall handling on the road.
Meanwhile, sharp character lines and muscular curves add depth to its silhouette. Its back end is definitely a treat for the eyes thanks to its hypermodern-looking single blade light, a carbon fibre split roof spoiler, and a highly-functional wing. All in all, Lotus really did a great job making this SUV’s build as aerodynamic as possible.
Lotus Eletre Ride & Handling
The Lotus Eletre model line comes with the brand’s 2-chamber active air suspension. This advanced setup allows this SUV to have nimble maneuverability in the city and sharp handling out on the open road despite its size and weight. It can also take on light to moderate off-road terrains thanks to its great bump absorption and control. All in all, this hyper-SUV can offer a comfortable riding experience for all occupants.
Eletre Engine & Fuel Consumption
The Lotus Eletre comes in two powertrain options. First, the 900 series variants run on a dual-motor powertrain that generates a maximum power output of 675 kW (918 PS) and a maximum torque of 985 Nm. On the other hand, the 600 series trims run on a dual-motor powertrain that produces 450 kW (612 PS) of power and 710 Nm of torque.
All variants are powered by a 112-kWh Ternary Lithium-Ion battery pack. Using a DC fast charger, its battery can be charged from 10% to 80% in just 20 minutes. However, this battery pack is tuned differently among the variants, resulting in different WLTP combined driving ranges. The 900 series variants offer a combined driving range of up to 450 km. The base 600 variant has a 570-km range, while its GT SE and Sport SE counterparts offer 535 and 530 km respectively.
This model line utilizes a four-wheel drivetrain and comes with Range, Tour, Off-road, Sport, and Individual driving modes. The 900 series variants also get an exclusive Track mode.
Taking all of these into account, the Lotus Eletre is a very capable high-speed runner on the highway. Its powertrain is peppy and smooth. In the city, this hyper-SUV is also usable thanks to its impressive efficiency. Both 600 and 900 series variants can take on trips out of town. However, the former is more effective when it comes to combatting range anxiety that comes from longer-distance trips.
Lotus Eletre Braking & Safety
In terms of safety, all variants of the Lotus Eletre come with the brand’s “LiDAR,” which detects vehicles, obstacles, and pedestrians, a 360-degree detection system, which includes four side cameras, one rear-facing camera, a wide-angle lens, and a forward-facing ultra-HD camera, as well as Lotus’ “Moon Pilot,” a real-time assistant. All of the variants except for the base 600 trim feature a 6-Piston caliper braking system, while the base 600 gets the 4-Piston version.
Eletre Verdict
Setting its hefty price tag aside, the Lotus Eletre is a game-changer when it comes to delivering a luxurious family riding experience. It offers impeccable versatility on the road, respectable daily city usability, and outstanding power and speed wherever it goes.
