Inside, the Lynk & Co 05’s cabin is equipped with premium niceties and plush finishes. Its Nappa leather seats provide great cushioning and ergonomics for everyone on board. There is plenty of space for four but a bit limited for five. The low headroom and limited legroom in the second row hinder three tall and large passengers from comfortably sitting. But, on the plus side, you get a generous amount of compartments both in the front and second rows. Its cargo space is fairly decent, especially when the rear seats are folded. 

Upfront, this car has a 12.8-inch touchscreen infotainment system that is equipped with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Bluetooth connectivity, USB, AUX, as well as voice control, and is linked to a 10-speaker Infinity sound system, which delivers premium acoustics all around. And, the good news is, there are physical buttons and switches on its dashboard. Meanwhile, drivers have access to a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, a multi-function steering wheel that is good-to-the-touch, and a premium-looking gear lever.

The Lynk & Co 05 measures 4,592 mm in length, 1,879 mm in width, and 1,628 mm in height. This crossover has a 2,734 mm wheelbase and an impressive 213 mm ground clearance, which allows it to take on the unpleasant Metro Manila roads with ease.

From the outside, the Lynk & Co 05’s appearance resembles some European luxury cars of today. It has a very sporty facade enhanced by a slim black grille and a rugged-looking bumper. It has an ethereal flare at night courtesy of its LED headlamps and sleek LED DRLs. Its crossover character is evident when looking at its side profile. Sharp character lines and well-proportioned curves give its silhouette more depth on the road. It runs on a chunky set of 20-inch alloy wheels. 

Aside from these, its back end is certainly a treat for the eyes. It comes with futuristic-looking LED tail lights that look really assertive on the road. It is also given a dual-exhaust setup, which adds more sportiness to its aura. Overall, the Lynk & Co 05’s hypermodern design just screams confidence and class wherever it goes.

In terms of suspension, the Lynk & Co 05 utilizes Double Wishbone at the front, while a Multi-Link at the rear. You’ll be able to have a comfortable and stable riding experience with this crossover. It effectively eats up bumps and other road imperfections in the city. And, like its cousin, the 08 EM-P, it also performs well on winding roads and twisties even at high speeds. 

The Lynk & Co 05 is powered by a 2L, 4-cylinder, 16-valve, turbocharged gasoline engine that produces a maximum power output of 254 hp and a maximum torque of 350 Nm. It comes mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission system and utilizes an all-wheel drivetrain.

This crossover runs smoothly both in the city and out on the open road. Its turbocharged engine delivers a satisfying pull on the highway, allowing you to easily overtake slower vehicles. It is also pretty quiet inside thanks to a great sound insulation system. However, when driven spiritedly, this car has a tendency to be quite thirsty for fuel.

The Lynk & Co 05 is equipped with loads of advanced driver assistance systems such as a 360-degree camera, blind spot monitoring, lane departure warning system, adaptive cruise control, lane keeping assist, and autonomous emergency braking among others. Its braking setup is also supported by an anti-lock braking system, electronic brakeforce distribution, vehicle stability control system, hill start assist control, and traction control. It utilizes ventilated discs for front braking, while regular discs for the rear.

If you are in the market to buy a crossover that looks premium inside and out, then the Lynk & Co 05 is definitely worth the consideration. It may not be the most practical or proven option in its segment, but its cutting-edge features and strong performance deliver a driving experience that stands apart from the norm.
