Intrigued by the immense hype surrounding the Toyota Alphard, I tested it out and found it to be the granddaddy of all minivans. It justifies its reputation for ease of driving and exceptional smoothness. The Alphard doesn’t feel like a traditional vehicle but more like driving a high-end business jet, with an excellent driving position that offers a commanding view of the road. Despite its huge size, it is easy to park and maneuver thanks to its driver assistance features. On the road, it is not a performance vehicle. The feel of the steering is bland and lacks precision making it better suited for city driving and motorway cruising rather than dynamic handling.
