Inside, the Zeekr 009 features a very luxurious cabin that offers top-notch comfort and spaciousness as well as cutting-edge technology. You and all your passengers will definitely enjoy an executive-level riding experience inside this electric MPV. There is an abundance of premium soft-touch materials around the vehicle. Upfront, the driver is greeted by an intelligent cockpit, which consists of a 10.25-inch full LCD, HD instrument cluster, an innovative 35.95-inch augmented reality heads-up display, a multi-function steering wheel wrapped in Nappa first-layer leather, and a Nappa leather-wrapped electronic gear shift. That said, its cockpit can definitely deliver a satisfying, aircraft pilot-like driving experience.

Zeekr really went all out with this MPV’s technology. All passengers can enjoy a 15.05-inch OLED CSD touchscreen infotainment display that is equipped with a connected service system (Carplay), driver monitoring system, Dolby Atmos, and is linked to a 30-speaker Yamaha surround sound system, which delivers unparalleled sound acoustics and immersion inside. It also comes with a 17-inch OLED roof screen, offering a more personalized experience for people at the back. One downside of its cabin, however, is that all controls are integrated into the touchscreen infotainment display. So, it might be a bit overwhelming for older-gen drivers and passengers who are used to physical buttons and switches.

Aside from these, the Zeekr 009’s cabin excels in comfort and functionality. Its soft Nappa full-grain leather seats provide arguably one of the best cushioning and ergonomics within its segment. These seats are equipped with loads of functions such as massage, ventilation, heating, memory, and an automatic reclining function (for second row seats). Additionally, it comes with multiple USB Type-C ports, a trunk 12V power outlet, an electronically-controlled charging port cap, a 50W wireless charger, and a maximum expandable cargo volume of 2,963 L.

For starters, the two variants of the Zeekr 009 measure 5,217 mm in length, 2,024 mm in width, and 1,812 mm in height. Both have a 3,205 mm wheelbase and a 142 mm ground clearance. The 6-seater variant is given a very elegant-looking set of 20-inch wheels with ‘starlight’ rims, while the 7-seater variant gets the 19-inch version.

Outside, the Zeekr 009 flaunts a very luxurious, hypermodern design, which slightly resembles the Lexus LM. It has a premium-looking facade accentuated by an intelligent ‘Fountain of Light’ front grille that comes with a customizable light system, exuding a clean, very distinctive demeanor on the road. It has an ethereal flare at night courtesy of its intelligent matrix LED projection headlamps that come with an adaptive driving beam along with DRLs with a ‘trace of light’. It also comes with an adaptive frontlighting system for a more premium touch. 

Moreover, it features a luxurious side profile enhanced by chrome side skirts and an electric sliding rear door. You’ll definitely enjoy following this vehicle at night because of its crystallized ‘Wing of Light’ LED taillights. It has an illuminated Zeekr logo on its taillight, which beautifully shows its identity to fellow drivers and casual onlookers around.

The Zeekr 009 utilizes a Double Wishbone suspension with a Virtual Double Ball Head at the front, while an Integrated Multi-Link and an All-Aluminum suspension at the rear. It also comes with front and rear lateral stabilizer bars, allowing it to absorb bumps and other road imperfections with ease. Thanks to its advanced suspension system, you and everyone on board will have a very comfortable and stable riding experience inside this MPV. But, since its suspension prioritizes comfort more than anything else, hitting sharp turns or corners is not its forte. But, overall, this MPV is a joy to drive despite its pretty big build. 

Both variants of the Zeekr 009 run on dual electric motors that generate a peak power of 580 kW and a peak torque of 810 Nm. Its electric motors are powered by a 108 kWh Li(NiCoMn)02 battery pack that delivers a CLTC driving range of up to 702 km. This MPV can go from 0 to 100 kmph in just 3.9 seconds.

That said, this electric MPV is insanely fast. It also runs exceptionally smoothly both in the city and out on the open road. This vehicle can perform overtakes on free-flowing highways effortlessly. And, thanks to its very generous driving range, it is a practical daily driver in the city and a very capable ride for your long-distance out-of-town trips. Its NVH suppression system is also top-notch.

The Zeekr 009 is equipped with a very long list of safety features. It comes with the brand’s Intelligent Driving System, which includes a laser radar, a high-performance intelligent driving chip, full speed range adaptive cruise control, auto emergency braking, front collision warning, lane keeping assist, blind spot detection, door opening warning, collision mitigation support at the rear, front and rear cross traffic alerts, parking emergency brake, and an autonomous parking assist. 

Additionally, its braking setup is also supported by an anti-lock braking system, electronic brakeforce distribution, a distributed traction control system, and a brake assist system among others.

In my opinion, the Zeekr 009 is arguably one of the locally-available luxury MPVs that deliver the highest value for money. It offers class-leading space, a comprehensive suite of cutting-edge comfort, safety, and technological features, plus performance that is capable of challenging some of today’s European sports cars.
