Unlike new generation flagship SUVs, the new Toyota Land Cruiser LC300 doesn’t look too flashy and futuristic. However, it looks modern enough to not feel like a cabin of a vehicle from yesteryears. It gets all the basics, looks premium, and has a proper SUV-ish feel with elevated seating and driving position.

The driver’s cockpit of the Toyota Land Cruiser LC300 looks functional with a four-spoke multi-functional steering wheel and a large instrument console, which is not a full TFT unit but gets a large colored MID within it. The centre console of the dashboard looks wide and cool with a free-standing 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, offset push start-stop button, and tapering down lower part with a host of conventional buttons for climate control and music system. 

The all-black cabin of the Toyota Land Cruiser LC300 gets nice contrasting light wood and silver inlays, which adds to its premium feel it. What adds a more richening feel to the cabin is features like full leather upholstery, powered front seats with memory function, ventilated front and rear seats, power-adjustable steering wheel, wireless charger, 14-speaker JBL audio system, electric sunroof, four-zone automatic climate control.

While Toyota has retained the boxy silhouette of the previous generation model for the new Land Cruiser LC300, it has made extensive sheet metal changes to make sure it looks completely different from the model it has replaced. And the efforts have paid well too – the Toyota Land Cruiser LC300 looks completely new while still retaining the boxy stance of its predecessor.

At the front, the Toyota Land Cruiser LC300 looks majestic with its wide and huge front grille, which has multiple horizontal thick slats and is assisted by a large U-shaped air dam around it. The side edges of this air dam are flanked with angular block-shaped headlamp units which have L-shaped daytime running LEDs and triple LED projector bulbs. The front bumper of the SUV looks rather simple with small trapezoidal housings for LED fog lamps.

The side profile of the Toyota Land Cruiser LC300 looks quite old-school with a heightened stance and squared look. The trapezoidal and flared wheel arches over simple-looking multi-spoke alloy wheels, while the high running window waistline with tapered rear-most window panels and door-mounted rearview mirrors make the Toyota Land Cruiser LC300 look cool. 

The Toyota Land Cruiser LC300 now looks quite sharp from the rear. While it still maintains a bulbous look from the rear, the two-part combination tail lamps with LED inserts now lend a sleek appeal to the look of the SUV. Apart from this, the boot lid of the SUV has a rather simple look.

The Toyota Land Cruiser LC300 might not be the plushest SUV to drive on softer tarmacs, with prominent body roll as well. However, the double-wishbone setup at the front and a multi-link setup at the rear do a fine job to iron out all the undulations of the road. The six drive modes on offer – eco, comfort, normal, sport, sport+ and custom make the overall driving experience even more precise. And lastly, the standard four-wheel-drive system is super effective in giving the Toyota Land Cruiser LC300 proper prowess on off-road terrains.

The Toyota Land Cruiser LC300 for the Philippines car market is powered by a 3.3-litre twin-turbo V6 petrol engine, which is available with the sole option of a 10-speed automatic gearbox. The engine is healthy enough to pump up to maximum power and torque outputs of 306 PS and 700 Nm respectively.

Being the flagship Toyota SUV, the Land Cruiser LC300 gets all the modern safety aids like a pre-collision system, automatic high beam, lane tracing assist, dynamic radar cruise control, blind-spot monitor, front, side, curtain, and knee airbags, ABS with EBD and brake assist, vehicle stability control, hill start assist, hill descent control, active traction control, crawl control, multi-terrain select, turn to assist, panoramic view monitor, front and rear parking sensors, electronic parking brake and tire pressure monitoring system.
