Toyota Land Cruiser LC300 HEV now available at dealerships nationwide

MANILA: Toyota Motor Philippines (TMP) announces that the Land Cruiser LC300 hybrid electric vehicle (HEV) variant is now available from dealerships nationwide. 

The nameplate, which was showcased at the 10th Philippine International Motor Show (PIMS), retails between P6.93 million-P6.945 million (depending on the color option). It joins the current turbodiesel version of the Land Cruiser LC300, which is priced at P5.773 million. 

Notably, the new HEV promises a significant leap in performance and efficiency for the legendary sport utility vehicle (SUV) nameplate. Plus, it is one of the few Toyota vehicles on the market right now that can offer would-be adopters a legit heritage product mixed with the Japanese marque’s cutting-edge electrified powertrain design. 

“The Land Cruiser HEV is part of Toyota’s efforts in offering different powertrains that address our customers’ needs and lifestyles. Customers who want to experience the legendary heritage and proven performance of the Land Cruiser while having access to Toyota’s hybrid technology will find this car to be the perfect choice as their partner on the road,” TMP First Vice President for Vehicle Sales Operations Elijah Marcial said. 

“We hope the addition of the Land Cruiser HEV to Toyota’s wide lineup of cars gives our customers the power of choice when it comes to their mobility needs,” Marcial added.

Vehicle specifications, features

For its internal combustion engine, the Toyota Land Cruiser LC300 HEV uses a 3.5-liter twin-turbo gasoline V6 that produces up to 409 horsepower (hp) and 650 Newton-meters (Nm) of torque. Its six-cylinder mill goes together with an electric motor that adds a further 49 hp and 250 Nm of torque. 

As with the turbodiesel version, the hybrid model is a capable off-roader with its differential locker, 4x4 drivetrain, and its generous ground clearance of 234 millimeters. The nameplate also uses a 10-speed automatic gearbox, four-wheel disc brakes, a front double wishbone suspension, and a rear multi-link suspension. 

On the outside, the boxy but burly Toyota Land Cruiser LC300 HEV retains the overall shape of the non-hybrid trim. It does, however, get some blue touches that hint at its electrified engine, as well as some minor aerodynamic details. 

Key exterior features available on the model include LED lighting fixtures, rain-sensing wipers, a power tailgate with kick activation, roof rails, power-folding/adjustable side mirrors with memory and heating, a tilting moonroof, and a rear spoiler.

Inside the Toyota Land Cruiser LC300 HEV is a seven-seater layout equipped with leather upholstery, power-adjustable front seats, a 60:40 split-folding (and tumbling) second row, a 50:50-split third row, and a dual-zone automatic climate control system.

Available exterior colors include Attitude Black Mica, Silver Metallic, Gray Metallic, and Precious White Pearl as a premium color.
