Wuling Bingo

The Wuling Bingo’s cabin offers top-notch comfort and a satisfying, premium feeling that you wouldn’t usually get from an entry-level mini EV. Its interior layout comes with a right mix of soft-touch materials and hard plastics. Upfront, you and your co-pilot are greeted by a modern center console that has a 10.25-inch LCD touchscreen infotainment system, which is equipped with a 4G network and Bluetooth connectivity and is linked to a 4-speaker audio system. 

In addition, you can enjoy a driver-friendly cockpit that offers a 10.25-inch full LCD instrument panel, a multi-function steering wheel finished in leather, and an electronic knob shift, which provides a satisfying shifting experience while on the go. The car’s interior features can also be controlled through a mobile app.

In terms of comfort and practicality, this EV’s faux leather sport seats provide great cushioning and ergonomics for all passengers. For a mini EV, its cabin has more than enough space for four passengers. However, the headroom in the second row is a bit low for taller passengers. But, it does make up for it with a decent cargo space. It also comes with three Type-C ports at the front and makeup mirrors for the driver and co-pilot.

The Wuling Bingo flaunts a cute futuristic design that looks elegant yet sporty at the same time. Upfront, it has an assertive flare courtesy of its X-shaped LED headlights with LED DRLs. Its hypermodern demeanor is accentuated by a sleek fascia and a blacked-out bumper with a diamond-like pattern. It features a nice two-toned side view, which is enhanced by black window trims and wheel arches. 

Meanwhile, trailing behind this vehicle at night, its X-shaped LED tail lights will definitely catch your eye. In terms of dimensions, the Wuling Bingo measures 3,950 mm in length, 1,708 mm in width, and 1,580 mm in height. It has a 2,560 mm wheelbase and runs on custom 15-inch wheels with a flower-like spoke.

In terms of suspension, the Wuling Bingo utilizes a combination of a McPherson independent type at the front and a Torsion Beam non-independent type at the rear. Thanks to this suspension setup, you’ll enjoy this mini EV’s very light and comfortable steering. It is very easy to maneuver through tight spaces and bumper-to-bumper traffic. And, for a vehicle its size, it also absorbs bumps and other road imperfections pretty well. 

However, when passing through winding pavements, it would be better to hit turns or corners with precaution, since its steering gets a little too soft to the point where it lacks a bit of feedback on the road. But, overall, the Wuling Bingo can deliver a plush and relaxing cruising experience for everyone on board.

The Wuling Bingo runs on a single Permanent Magnet Synchronous motor that produces a maximum power output of 68 PS and a maximum torque of 125 Nm. Its electric motor is powered by a 31.9 kWh Lithium Iron Phosphate battery pack that delivers a CLTC pure electric cruising range of up to 333 kms and a fast charging time of 30% to 80% in just 35 minutes. It runs on a single-speed fixed gear ratio gearbox and utilizes a front-wheel drivetrain.

On paper, this mini EV’s performance outputs might not look exciting, but its powertrain is actually peppy out on the open road. It runs smoothly and quickly both in the city and on the highway. And, on top of this, it also has an impressive linear power delivery. The Wuling Bingo is a practical and efficient daily driver in the city. But, it can also be used for shorter-distance out-of-town trips like a Manila to Tagaytay roundtrip.

In terms of safety, the Wuling Bingo is equipped with driving features such as front and rear parking radars, a reversing image, an energy recovery system, hill start assist, and three driving modes: Standard/Comfortable, Economy, and Sports. It also comes with active safety features that support its brakes, which consists of an anti-lock braking system, braking force distribution, brake assist, traction control, and vehicle stability control. In terms of braking, it utilizes ventilated discs at the front, while regular discs at the rear.

Considering just how feature-packed the Wuling Bingo is for an EV that barely passed the 1M mark, it would really make a great first car for budget-oriented consumers who are planning to shift towards an all-electric mobility that delivers outstanding cost-efficiency without compromising performance on the road.
