Dongfeng Motors Philippines introduced the Nammi electric compact hatchback in May 2024. It is the Chinese carmaker’s entry into the country’s growing number of emissions-free options, catering to the needs of today’s evolving car buyers. 

Just recently, the brand — steered by Legado Motors Incorporated — announced that it has slashed the price of the Dongfeng Nammi from P1.238 million to just P998,000, saving potential adopters some P240,000. 

Until July 31, 2025, interested electric vehicle (EV) enthusiasts may purchase the vehicle from the marque’s dealerships in the following locations: 

• Bacoor, Cavite 
• Ortigas, Pasig 
• Caloocan 

For those who are eyeing the Dongfeng Nammi, we look into its three available colors — as well as the features that are represented by each hue — to help them decide which one best suits their style and motoring needs. 

Yellow 

One of the selling points of the Dongfeng Nammi is its fun design, made more obvious by this bright yellow — sort of lime green-ish — paintwork. That said, it’s fitting to talk about its notable exterior features, which will be the first few things that would-be owners notice. 

At the fore is a pair of automatic LED headlamps bordered by a strip that acts as its daytime running lights. The said appointments are connected together by a horizontal light bar. 

Because of the shape of the lamps, the Dongfeng Nammi’s front end gives the impression of a fascia with raised eyebrows. Its lower grille is fitted with mesh-like wirework, bordered by dynamic appliques finished in chrome. 

Proving that it has more to offer than just attitude, the bumper is bedecked with six small, slightly noticeable circles — which actually are sensors. 

To its sides, the Dongfeng Nammi gets plastic trims on the doors with some chrome accents. Found here too are flush door handles and frameless windows. It also has stylish side mirrors with repeaters, blacked-out pillars, and a set of two-tone 17-inch wheels wrapped in 215/55 series tires. 

Its rear end boasts the same level of character found at the front. One gets a sporty spoiler seamlessly connected to its white roof, a decent-sized glass, two rounded LED taillamps, a hydraulically-assisted tailgate, and a chunky black bumper where six sensors are also installed.

The author prefers this color on the Dongfeng Nammi since it makes it stand out from the crowd. Aside from its aesthetic appeal, the yellow paintwork also has practical uses, like when you want to easily spot your car in the parking lot or maybe just prefer a highly visible vehicle. 

Blue 

Blue is a color that captures the eco-friendly essence of the Dongfeng Nammi. Speaking of which, it runs on a permanent magnet synchronous motor situated on the car’s front axle. It is juiced by a 42.4 kilowatt-hour lithium iron phosphate battery.  

In unison, the Dongfeng Nammi’s all-electric setup pushes to achieve the following figures:

The above numbers translate to quick acceleration and the ability to sustain power at high speeds. 

It has an estimated range of around 430 kilometers, making it ideal not only for city drives but also for spontaneous adventures outside the metro during the weekend. 

Aside from reflecting the car’s sustainable and efficient capabilities, its baby blue hue also echoes the cute interior and technological offerings of the Dongfeng Nammi. 

Eye-catching is its leather interior trims with quilting. Sure to attract feminine customers is its pull-out glove box with design elements that resemble a lady’s purse. 

Past its leather-wrapped steering wheel is a five-inch digital instrument cluster accompanied by a 12-inch LCD infotainment system with a cute user interface.

White
