Exploring the Jetour T2’s interior

The T2 is currently one of the more recognizable nameplates sold by Jetour Auto Philippines Incorporated (JAPI). The aforementioned, of course, is directly linked to the model’s eye-catching, boxy design, which hints at its off-road capability. 

For all intents and purposes, it is a good-looking midsize sport utility vehicle (SUV). Plus, it has all the right exterior equipment to match its outdoorsy and active design. Specifically, it sits on a set of 20-inch alloy wheels, and it was also equipped with LED exterior lighting, underbody protective plates, power-folding side mirrors, rain-sensing wipers, and a robust pair of roof rails. 

Additionally, the Jetour T2 is equipped with a robust 2.0-liter turbocharged gasoline engine, complementing its adventurous design. 

In total, the said four-banger can generate up to 251 horsepower (hp) and 390 Newton-meters (Nm) of torque. Power is sent to all four of its wheels via a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission. For enhanced performance in challenging terrain, the model also features an electronic rear differential, a mechanical central differential, and seven distinct drive modes. 

All of the aforementioned sounds enticing, especially when considering the T2’s relatively accessible price, ranging from P2.498 million-P2.598 million. But the question now is: what is the Jetour T2’s interior offering to buyers? Let’s find out here. 

Robust safety equipment

For a vehicle designed to handle almost any terrain, the Jetour T2 comes equipped with a lot of safety features.

To start with, the model’s standard array of safety equipment  consists of an anti-lock braking system, electronic brake-force distribution, traction control, a 360-degree view camera, ISOFIX child seat anchors, brake assist, hill-start assist, hill-descent control, and tire pressure monitoring - among others.

For connectivity, the main screen of the T2 comes with Bluetooth and Apple CarPlay. Sound, meanwhile, is outputted by a 12-piece speaker set. 

The one standout feature of the T2’s infotainment display, however, is its Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 processor. With the said component, the T2’s main display is touted to provide fast performance for even the most demanding users. The aforementioned Snapdragon chip, after all, is manufactured by the same company that produces the brain of Samsung’s top-of-the-line smartphones. 

Other notable tech present inside the T2 is a voice control feature, Type-C USB ports, a 12-volt accessory outlet, and a speed-sensitive volume adjustment system. 

No skimping creature comforts

For the benefit of everyone inside, the Jetour T2 provides leather-upholstered seats, with the ones up front boasting suede inserts, power-adjustability, as well as a heating and ventilation function. 

Cooling for the cabin is done via an automatic air-conditioning system, and both front and rear occupants have access to foldable center armrests. The cabin is also kept quiet with its active noise reduction system. 

Apart from the aforementioned, the driver of the T2 gets to use a keyless start and entry system, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, a push-to-start button, and an electronic parking brake.
