Exploring the Kia Forte GT variant

For anyone who needs a stylish, capable ride, the Kia Forte allows its occupants to experience ultimate comfort and relaxation. That’s because this compact five-seater sedan boasts of high performance and new technology.

The new Kia Forte has three variants here and one of these is the Kia Forte 1.6 Turbo GT AT, the top-spec or premium variant. 

When it comes to its exterior, the GT variant flaunts a glossy black radiator grille, GT design front and rear bumpers, dual exhaust pipes at the rear, a dual chrome-coated muffler, and high-gloss and electric-adjustable exterior rear view mirrors.

The GT is powered by a 1.6-liter in-line four-cylinder, DOHC, turbocharged gasoline direct injection (T-GDI) petrol engine, which generates 265Nm of torque and 201hp of power. 

Instead of a six-speed automatic, the transmission in the EX and LX variants, the engine of the GT variant is mated to a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission with manual mode. 

The GT variant also has a drive mode select function that allows the driver to choose the type of driving quality he or she prefers through the adjustment of automotive components such as throttle, steering response, and suspension in some cases. 

For greater visibility on the road, the GT variant also has LED rear combination lamps and an LED high-mount stop lamp. 

Inside, the GT gets a three-spoke leather steering wheel with paddle shifters; aluminum pedals; contrast red stitching on the dashboard, well-ventilated leather seats with eight-way power, memory function and lumbar support; and an electrochromic interior rear view mirror. 

The GT variant is also fitted with convenience and comfort functionalities such as an illuminated push start button, smart entry, and wireless smartphone charger. 

As for safety features, the GT variant has curtain, side, and front airbags to ensure that all occupants are protected from impact in the event of a collision. 

The Kia Forte 1.6 Turbo GT AT variant comes in three colors: Clear White, Aurora Black, and Runway Red, and its selling price is P1,650,000.
