The Geely GX3 Pro comes in as a good pick not only for seasoned drivers but also for those new to sitting behind the wheel. 

That’s because those looking to drive home the automobile can choose to get the continuously variable transmission (CVT)-equipped model allowing for a more convenient means of driving. 

Speaking of which, the CVT offers smooth gear shifting, eliminating shift shock. Additionally, the transmission system can translate the power provided by the engine in both low and high gears. 

Further, the Geely GX3 Pro has a compact body, which means that driving it around the narrow streets of the metro can be a breeze. 

Sporty exterior

Another advantage offered by the Geely GX3 Pro is its sporty exterior. 

Noticeable are the abundance of straight lines and sharp angles that give the crossover an athletic character. 

At the front is a grille bearing the brand’s new design language paired with the mustache-like lower front bumper. 

To its side are mirrors with carbon fiber design as well as claddings that have the same look.

Cons: 

Screens could use an update

While the similarly sporty interior of the Geely GX3 Pro might impress some car buyers, its instrument cluster and infotainment screens could use an upgrade. 

Past its multi-functional steering wheel is a 3.5-inch instrument panel that mixes both digital and analog gauges. A fully-digital screen might better match the modern looks of the crossover. Likewise, the eight-inch infotainment screen could be more responsive. 

Final thoughts

The Geely GX3 Pro can make for a great first car for the right buyer. Its mix of sporty looks and decent power is a good formula, especially for a city car.
