This is what you can find inside the Li Auto Mega

Luxury MPV costs P5.99-P6.499 million

This is what you can find inside the Li Auto Mega

Li Auto launched in the Philippines not too long ago. Relatedly, the company’s first showroom in Bonifacio Global City also happens to be its first in Southeast Asia.

KEY TAKEAWAYS

  • What powers the Li Mega?

The Li Mega uses dual electric motors.
  • How much power does it make?

The Li Mega can make up to 536 horses.
  • Its offerings consist of luxurious rides such as the Li L7 five-seater and L9 six-seater sport utility vehicles, but its most striking model to date is the Mega, a multi-purpose vehicle (MPV) fit for people who prefer to be chauffeured.

Before we dive into what one can see inside the opulent passenger vehicle, you may check out our experience joining the marque’s first-ever media drive in the country, aboard the Li Mega, of course. You can follow the article link, here

With that out of the way, here’s a quick peek at the curated cabin of the MPV.

    Comfortable captain’s chairs

The Li Mega comes standard with captain’s seats on the second row. These can be considered prime real estate for occupants as they offer a spacious area for those who do not want to rub elbows with their carmates and prefer to relax as they travel from point A to point B.

One of the most noticeable features of the seating is its Nappa leather upholstery (with perforation for heating and cooling), which is on the plushier and softer side of the spectrum. The leather material can also be found on the armrests and is complemented by fluffy sponge headrests — evoking relaxation and wellness on wheels.

Speaking of wellness, these seats are equipped with a slew of technological amenities, with the spa-grade 16-point massage feature being our favorite. According to the carmaker, the massage chair uses 10 pressure points on the back with six pressure points in the cushion — very useful in long drives to help relieve seat fatigue.

In addition, the seats also have leg rests, which also have available heating function.

Other appointments within reach of the second-row occupants include wireless charging pads for smartphones of various types, a fold-out table for light snacks or for when working on iPads or laptops, pop-up bottle holders for beverages, as well as a smart refrigerator that also doubles as a warmer for food and drinks.

Despite the focus being set on the second row, Li Auto did not forget to share the spotlight with the first and third row seating. They, too, are finished in premium hide and offer a handful of features for the driver and co-pilot, as well as the folks taking the back seat.

As such, the person sitting behind the wheel also gets a massage, memory, and what Li Auto calls the Magic Carpet function, with smart cushion and firmness adjustment. As for the person riding shotgun, he or she gets similar features, with the Magic Carpet function being replaced by a “Boss” button, apparently for configuring the front passenger seat.

Those occupying the electric third-row seating can enjoy toys like drink and snack pockets, as well as a pull-down armrest.

    Other stories:

    Tech-heavy interior

Being a modern MPV — touted as a moving home — the Li Mega packs plenty of technological features that are sure to make the family’s trip more enjoyable.

One of the most eye-catching tech features in the cabin is its three large screens. Available for the driver and the front passenger are the center information display and the co-pilot entertainment display, both measuring 15.7 inches.

Aside center information display, the driver can check relevant information through the head-up display and the small digital screen on the leather steering wheel.

The former displays the vehicle’s primary functions, while the latter serves as the infotainment screen where the front passenger can play various media to keep other occupants engaged and entertained.

For those sitting at the back, a similarly-sized (15.7-inch) flip-down screen is available for streaming media. All large screens boast 3K resolution for crisp display.

As for in-car audio, the Li Mega uses a set of speakers peppered around the interior for an immersive experience. According to the manufacturer, these feature powerful amplifier, clear and ringing treble, stable bass, and full midrange.

When it comes  to keeping the passengers cool amid hot weather, the MPV relies on a triple-zone air conditioning system with independent vents for the second and third row passengers.

The A/C also features and air purifier with a negative-ion generator and PM 2.5 monitoring to ensure air quality while inside the vehicle.

Other technologies offered to its passengers are listed below:

    • LED ambient lighting
    • LED floor lights
    • Integrated two-pane panoramic sunroof
    • Electric sunshade
    • Reading lights
    • Electronic sliding doors

    Storage space aplenty

Since the Li Mega is marketed as a mobile home, the MPV offers tons of storage options.

Littered around the vehicle are pockets to accommodate various everyday carry items like smartphones, wallets, and small pouches. These can be found on the glove box compartment, the center console, and the door cards. Some small bags can even be accommodated by the space provided by the extra area, thanks to the captain’s chairs.

Per the company’s literature, the boot — even with all seven seats occupied — can still accommodate four 28-inch suitcases, meeting the family’s packing needs for a two-week trip. For added space, the third-row seats can be folded down to cater to larger items.

Alternatively, the available space can be used flexibly with the seats allowing for the configuration of the following setups:

    • Living room
    • Bedroom
    • Movie room
    • Reading room
    • Activity room
