2018 Honda Jazz prices leaked for the Philippines market

MANILA: After making its debut in Thailand and Japanese market, the B-segment hatchback will soon mark its presence in the local market. But, ahead of its official launch, someone has leaked the pricing of the upcoming hatchback from the house of Japanese automaker. If the leaked prices are to be believed then the 2018 Jazz price will start from Php 799,000 for the V M/T variant. The CVT variant will be priced at Php 849,000 while the VX Navi CVT will hold a price tag of Php 949,000. In addition to this, an RS version will be also introduced with a sticker price of Php 1,029,000.

Honda Philippines might also introduce new color options for Jazz VX and RS, one of them is likely to be Brilliant Sporty Blue Metallic. Whereas, Phoenix Orange will be limited to the range topping, RS variant. Considering the changes of the 2018 Honda Jazz, the front gets a bolder and sharper “Solid Wing Face” grille, sleeker headlights and redesigned bumper. The rear profile is same as before, the only difference is that of a restyled bumper.

The other major changes include new alloy wheels, LED daytime running lights and LED lighting on a range of variants. The cabin has been carried forward with the addition of a new touchscreen infotainment system and a distinct touch panel for the automatic climate control system. Considering the engine options, the Jazz will be powered by the same 1.5-litre i-VTEC unit which delivers a maximum power output of 120 PS and peak torque of 145 Nm. The engine is mated to a 5-speed manual or a continuously variable transmission (CVT).

Though there is no confirmation on the launch date of the 2018 Honda Jazz, it is expected that Honda Philippines might introduce the hot hatch somewhere in this September.
