MANILA: The competition in the automobile market is intense. The automakers try all the tricks they have got up their sleeves to attract more and more customers to their stable. However, some of the automobile manufacturers actually know a trick or two and ramp their sales charts up in a blink of an eye.

Same is the story with the all-new Hyundai Reina. Launched not more than a fortnight ago, the sedan from the South Korean manufacturer stands against the recently launched Kia Soluto. While both of the giant automakers played an aggressive card by keeping the prices of their sedans competitive,

Hyundai seems to be leading the race. We say so because the Hyundai Reina has managed to accomplish 600 sales in no more than two days. And numbers don’t lie, do they?

Ma. Fe Perez-Agudo, President and CEO of Hyundai Asia Resources, Inc. (HARI) at the Hyundai Reina Media Ride & Drive said that 42 dealerships across the country cleaned up the whole inventory of the Reina and we are thrilled with the start Reina has got in the market. She also mentioned that while 600 Reina sedans have already been shipped, the demand is on the rise and the dealers have been requested to wait patiently for the next batch of the car.

Powered by a 1.4-litre four-pot motor which produces a healthy 96 PS of maximum power and a peak torque of 132 Nm, the Hyundai is the most powerful car in the segment. The claimed mileage of 20 kmpl should do no harm either.

What’s more? The 2,570 mm wheelbase provides a roomy cabin and tremendous stability on the road. Safety features include dual SRS airbags and ABS with EBD. On top of all that, Hyundai also offers a 5-year or unlimited kilometres warranty. What more can you ask for Php 598,000?
