A Suggestion to Toyota, with Love, From CarBay

MANILA: Toyota is a brand loved by many and so, here we are writing some suggestions that may help it add more territories to its already extend empire. Everyone is aware of the strong market position it shares with the auto world and so, is the case with many ASEAN countries, of which the Philippines too is a part. Filipinos love Toyota like crazy and the fact is very well prominent with the number of Toyota-badged cars you see running around on our streets.

But the recent market scenario has made us thinking that if Toyota doesn't take any action soon, things might not work in its favor. Still not getting what we mean, two crossovers have already debuted on Manila roads: Nissan Juke and Chevrolet Trax and Toyota is still running the same two-year-old RAV4.

Well, we are very well aware of a facelifted version of the RAV4, pictures of which have already gone viral over the net. But the question is why is the auto maker delaying its launch here, when this is the apt time to come out with an upgraded version. Sources hint that Toyota is planning to launch the upgraded version at the annual Christmas lunch with the media, which is still months away.

Now, something for those who are unaware about the new RAV4 -

It was first seen at the New York Motor Show, as a Hybrid car with a 2.5-liter Atkinson cycle petrol engine coupled to a powerful electric motor. And the updated version is known to mirror the same prominent lower grille, new LED headlights, restyled rear bumper and a new set of tail lights as were seen back in April 2015 at the Show.

Apart from the outer beauty, it will also come packed with a long arrays of safety features like forward-facing camera, millimeter-wave radar, pre-collision safety system, active cruise control, automatic high beam, lane departure alert, blind spot monitor and rear cross traffic alert.

Other information regarding its engine specs and the interior front is still undercover, but we are expecting to see some good work on these unsaid fields. Now, the wait is just yours, Toyota RAV4 come and go face to face with your new competitors.
