Autech ropes in the Nissan X-Trail to its line-up
MANILA: Autech, the modification division of the Japanese automaker Nissan has unveiled a transformed version of the SUV X-Trail. Autech specialises in tuning and converting Nissan cars into sportier versions. Vehicles with stylish body-kits and enhanced performance like the Stagea 260 RS, R32 Skyline Autech Version have been the result of tuning and modification by Autech. Skyline, Stagea, and the Silvia have also seen their reconstructed versions developed the unit in the past.
Much more popular and everyday life vehicles like Serena and the Note have been in Autech’s garages lately. Following the suite, the SUV X-Trail now gets a special edition version coming out from the Autech unit. The front Fascia of the X-Trail Autech features an aggressive grille residing in a new bumper which how has accents finished in metallic paint. Dual exhaust units are present on either end of the new rear bumper. The SUV now rides on 19-inch Autech aluminium wheels.
On the inside, there is 'Autech' embroidered on all-leather seats. The whole interior boasts blue stitching everywhere including the centre console, steering wheel, and the door trims. Front, rear, and boot carpets by Autech can also be availed as an optional accessory.
While the customers can have the modified X-Trail in its standard colors, the highlight here is the Caspian Blue Metallic paint scheme which is exclusive to the Autech modified SUV. The X-Trail Autech comes with zero mechanical changes and unchanged features. All the variants including 2WD, 4WD and the hybrid can be had with the Autech package.
People in Japan can bring home the blue-beauty home come January 2019. Availability of the Autech package for previously bought X-Trails remains to be known. In the Philippines, Nissan offers the X-Trail in two different variants, first is the 2.0L 4X2 houses a 2.0-litre 4-Pot 16 Valve DOHC gas-fed motor and other is the 2.5L 4x4 powered by a 2.5-litre 4-Cylinder 16 Valve DOHC mill. The power figures for both the engines are rated at 144 PS/200 Nm and 171 PS/233 Nm respectively. Both the variants feature a continuously variable transmission (CVT).
