BMW 2 Series Gran Tourer for 7 occupants launched

MANILA: After making its debut in neighboring markets, the 7-seater 2 Series Grand Tourer has been finally launched in the Philippines. BMW Philippines has introduced the latest iteration of the 2 Series at the North Court, Power Plant Mall in Makati. The MPV will be on display in the mall till Oct 29 for the visitors.

With the launch of BMW 2 Series Gran Tourer, we have extended our market reach that fit the requirements of a dynamic family.”

The all-new 7-seater 2 Series Gran Tourer is the next car in the Multi-Purpose Vehicle segment that offers exceptional space and comfort along with a power packed performance without compromising the practicality front. The exterior styling is somewhat similar to the already existing, 2 Series Active Tourer with the key difference lies in the cabin layout. The Active Tourer has a room for five whereas, the Gran Tourer can accommodate 7 people.  With all seats up, you get a boot volume of 560 litres that is extendable up to 1,820 litres.

Under the hood is a 1.5-litre 3-cylinder gasoline engine that has a potential to pump out a maximum power output of 138 PS and peak torque of 220 Nm. This is further mated to a 6-speed automatic gearbox which is similar to the Active Tourer. In order to promote the new vehicle of the company in an effective manner, it will be showcased at a number of locations on different sets.
