BMW PH Nov. 2025 YTD sales breach 2024 performance

MANILA:  Sales of BMW in the Philippines for the past 11 months surpassed the number of units retailed for the full year of 2024.

In a statement, SMC Asia Car Distributors Corporation (SMCACDC) shared that it sold 843 units during the January-November 2025 timeline. Such a feat reflected a strong year for the official importer and distributor of BMW in the country as the sales volume for the previous year only reached 815 examples.

The company attributed the accelerated performance to its strong sales in the past three months alone, saying that for the aforementioned period it was able to turn over nearly 300 units to its customers.

“To secure this record early in December is a phenomenal achievement for our team, and we would like to express our sincere gratitude for the unwavering support and trust of our customers,” SMCACDC President Jacob Ang was quoted as saying.

“The immediate sell-out of models like the X3 PHEV confirms that our Power of Choice strategy—offering the best of both worlds in performance and efficiency—is perfectly aligned with the market,” he added.

The European premium marque’s arm locally also said that the achievement highlights the marque’s “successful navigation of the local premium automotive sector, which has otherwise experienced contraction and softening demand throughout the year.”

Further, the firm noted that the sales surge is fueled by model launches and the growing adoption of electrified vehicles locally.

This led to the units of BMW 3 Series, X1, and X3 PHEV completely allocated or sold out for the remainder of the year. Although this is the case for the said nameplates, SMCACDC mentioned that the BMW X5 PHEV still has available stock (but already in limited volume).
