BYD Philippines provides Atto 3 fresh updates for 2025

MANILA: BYD Cars Philippines has given the Atto 3 electric vehicle (EV) some significant updates.

These upgrades follow the nameplate’s achievement after it became the best-selling battery electric subcompact crossover after just one year of sales with 1,062 units handed over to customers in 2024.

“The latest updates to the BYD Atto 3 enhance its appeal with refined features that keep it fresh and competitive in the growing EV market,” BYD Cars Philippines Managing Director Bob Palanca said.

“Known for offering high-quality features at an affordable price, the Atto 3 continues to attract new customers to the brand as it solidifies its position as the electric vehicle of choice for those seeking a stylish and accessible BEV amid the market’s transition to an electric-powered lifestyle,” he added.

To note, the nameplate reached the Philippine market in November 2023.

Exterior

Outside, the updated BYD Atto 3 has gloss black accents on the D-pillar garnish and window trims. It also has a prominent “BYD” emblem on the tailgate.

Speaking of the tailgate, it now has power functionality (for Premium variant) for added convenience.

In addition, the latest iteration of the electric crossover’ range-topping model gets a wider set of tires (235/50/R18 Continental).

Per BYD Cars Philippines, the new rubber improves handling and performance while maintaining a smooth and stable drive.

Finally, a new paintwork — dubbed Cosmos Black — is made available for 2025.

“The updates to the new BYD Atto 3 enhance both its design and functionality, ensuring a more refined driving experience. These improvements reinforce our commitment to providing innovative and high-quality electric vehicles for our customers,” Palanca stated.

Interior

The cabin of the new BYD Atto 3 gets new ambient lighting. In addition, a PM 2.5 air filter with on-screen monitoring ensures better interior air quality, contributing to the occupants’ health and comfort.

BYD also updated the infotainment system of the electric crossover now has a larger 15.6-inch touchscreen display (for Premium variant), improving menu visuals and usability, offering a range of connected services, and ensuring a seamless driving experience.

New interior colors as well as a newly-introduced Near-Field Communications card rounds up the fresh appointments of the BYD Atto 3.

Familiar electric powertrain

The new BYD Atto 3 retains a familiar electric powertrain unit that dishes out some 200 horsepower with 310 Newton-meters of torque.

Depending on the trim level, owners can get either a 49.9 kilowatt-hour (kWh) battery with 410 kilometers (km) of range or a 60.5 kWh battery with 480 km of emissions-free driving.

“By incorporating thoughtful changes that enhance convenience, style, and performance, the BYD Atto 3 remains the perfect choice for those transitioning to electric vehicles,” BYD Philippines Country Head Aiffy Liu noted.

“Our commitment to maintaining affordability while improving design and quality makes the Atto 3 stand out in the competitive BEV market,” he added.

Pricing

The new BYD Atto 3 remains competitively priced at P1.589 million for the Dynamic variant and P1.798 million for the Premium grade.

Further, the crossover retains its comprehensive warranty coverage.
