Cleanfuel set to accept Lyka 'gems' as payment
MANILA: Cleanfuel customers can soon perform cashless payment transactions through social media app Lyka, as the two companies recently signed a partnership deal.
Lyka is a social media platform that lets users collect GEMs (gift cards in electronic mode) by uploading photos and videos and interacting with other Lyka users. The GEMs can soon be used in paying Cleanfuel products and services at select Cleanfuel stations in Metro Manila.
The partnership agreement was signed by Cleanfuel President Atty. Bong Suntay and Lyka Sales and Marketing Executive Director Kristine Yabut. Also present in the ceremony were Cleanfuel Vice President Ralph Atienza, Cleanfuel Director Marco Atienza, and Lyka Strategic Commercial Partnership Head Francis Mamasabulot.
Suntay stated, “We see how the e-commerce business continues to grow with 40 million new users in Southeast Asia. In the Philippines, it grew over 50% in the past year as more customers relied on online delivery services. This simply shows how the e-commerce business is taking over the traditional marketplace. We are excited to be part of this partnership as we bridge the gap by innovating and adapting to the unique buying behavior of our new customers.”
“In Cleanfuel, our ‘quality fuel for less’ goes beyond our corporate slogan. This is the reason why we are continuously innovating to keep up with the times, while tapping into the younger audience of Lyka,” Suntay added.
