Dongfeng Motors PH starts roadshows to tap more customers

MANILA: Dongfeng Motors Philippines is conducting roadshows at strategic locations in Luzon.

The Legado Motors-led distributor’s latest initiative is conducting the aforementioned initiative following the launch of its latest promotion involving select new energy vehicle models namely the Aeolus Huge hybrid electric vehicle (HEV) and EX1 Pro EV.

In a statement shared that it would conduct display and test drives at the following venues:

• SM Aura: March 12-18
• Ayala Solenad, Nuvali, Sta. Rosa Laguna (Test and Ride Event): March 14-16
• SM North Edsa: March 20-26
• SM Mall of Asia (MOA): March 27-April 2

To note, the company will give away an EX1 Pro EV to customers who will purchase an Aeolus Huge Hybrid — getting the vehicles for only P1.998 million — under the “Drive Your Dreams” campaign. The offer is up until March 31, 2025.

At the time of posting, the Dongfeng Aeolus Huge HEV has a starting price of P1.888 million, while the EX1 Pro EV is being retailed for P838,000.

Here’s what customers will get to enjoy on the two models.

Powering the Dongfeng is Aeolus Huge Hybrid in front-wheel-drive configuration is a Mach Power MHD system made up of an electric motor and 1.5-liter turbocharged gasoline-fed engine that can dish out the following numbers:

• Internal combustion engine’s maximum output: 175 horsepower
• Electric motors peak output (17 hp)

The motor charges the lithium-ion battery while also powers the motor at low speeds.

In terms of technology, the Aeolus Huge Hybrid has the following features:

Level 2 driving assistance (which includes intelligent control, lane-keeping assist, and an advanced camera system that detects road signs, pedestrians, and vehicles)	Infotainment system that can connect to Apple CarPlay and Android Auto-ready devices via dongle
360-degree camera with 3D assist	Jamo speaker setup

On the other hand, the full electric Dongfeng EX1 Pro has an electric mill mated to a 27.2-kilowatt-hour battery that gives it an emissions-free range of up to 300 kilometers.

It also has a DC fast charging that lets you charge the vehicle from 30-80 percent in 30 minutes.
