Experience the new Hyundai Veloster Turbo: Sporty like a Coupe and Roomy like a Sedan               

MANILA: Things are obviously heating up for the long-awaited Manila International Auto Show 2016, which is going to welcome aboard the world on 7th April 2016. The biggest annual auto event is already entertaining a number of auto brands to launch their vehicles and now the Hyundai Asia Resources, Inc (HARI) has confirmed that it will premiere the Hyundai Veloster at the upcoming MIAS 2016.

The high-performance hatchback from Hyundai is already grabbing headlines for its turbocharged GDI powerplant. When the Veloster made its entry in the country as an imported one, Hyundai Philippines stated that it will take time for this sports hatch to officially arrive in the country as the market was dependent on the MPI engines till then. But with the confirmation of the GDI technology in the country, the company is finally bringing in the most-anticipated Veloster much to the delight of the Filipinos.

While most of the other auto brands have to implement big changes in their technology for the sake of the new norms of Euro-4 emission level, Hyundai is already having a power plant with advanced technology in its pandora box. However, the official details of the powerplant regarding Philippines auto market have not been revealed yet. The 2015 Veloster Turbo is capable of producing the maximum power output of 204 hp along with the peak torque of 265 Nm from its 1.6-litre GDI inline-four engine mated to the 7-speed dual clutch transmission.

The show will witness the updated version of the Veloster which was revealed in 2015 and it is likely that the latest updated model will receive minor exterior and interior tweaks. The new Veloster features new Hexagonal front grille and restyled projector headlamps. The brand has made sure the new Veloster Turbo is suited for all the segments with its new body paint Intense Red with the new 18-inch alloy wheels in a new design.

The interior has also been tweaked so that it complements the striking exterior with the two-tone interior finish and leather upholstery which will come as optional.
