Ford PH to start EV journey with Mustang Mach-E
Launch set for Q3 2025

MANILA: Ford will begin its electrification journey in the Philippines by introducing the Mustang Mach-E to the local market by the third quarter of 2025.
Ford Philippines Managing Director Pedro Simoes made the announcement during a recent engagement with select members of the motoring media.
Such an announcement from the chief of the Blue Oval’s distributor in the country is part of the promise he made some six months back.

“It is only fitting that we take our big leap in our electrification journey with an iconic Ford vehicle. The arrival of the Mach-E reinforces Ford as a credible and must-watch player in the electric vehicle (EV) segment in the country,” Simoes said.
“With a continuously growing community of Mustang owners in the Philippines, the Mustang Mach-E will surely give enthusiasts an electrified experience like no other,” he guaranteed.

Per Ford Philippines, the Mach-E is the brand’s first ground-up all-electric vehicle that “combines performance, range, and technology.”
“It will be the first, but it certainly will not be the last,” Simoes added.
Vehicle specifications
While waiting for the American automaker's arm locally to share its full details, here are some chunks of information about it based on the homologation papers that the Land Transportation Office released.

As seen in the documents from the agency, the crossover has the following measurements:
Overall dimensions (length, width, height; in millimeters [mm>) |
4,728 x 1,881 x 1,634 |
Wheelbase (in mm) |
2,984 |
Ground clearance (in mm) |
172 |
Gross vehicle weight (in kilograms) |
2,605-2,717 |
The five-seater vehicle might be introduced in the country in rear-wheel- (RWD) and all-wheel-drive (AWD) configurations as documentations related to the Ford Mustang Mach-E’s entry in the Philippines showed that it will be offered in two possible trims namely:
- GT (possibly the AWD offering)
- Premium (likely the RWD option)
The Mustang Mach-E GT’s powertrain setup can dish out 480 horsepower (hp), while the Premium, 290 horses. Their estimated range also varies from 490-600 kilometers, depending on the trim.

Further, the two trims have differing tire sizes — with the lower variant fitted with 19-inch wheels wrapped in 225/55 tires, and the other, in 20-inch wheels in 245/45.
Earlier, Zigwheels Philippines had a hunch that the Mustang Mach-E will be part of the automotive distributor’s initial EV products given the industry’s preference on sport utility vehicles as well as nameplate’s strong recollection.
