GAC PH to launch all-new GN6 MPV this month

MANILA: GAC Motor Philippines is set to launch the all-new GAC GN6 on February 26. The GN6 will be the brand’s latest entry in the MPV segment.

While the variant lineup is yet to be confirmed, the GN6 is available in four trims. The base gets a six-speed manual transmission, while the other trims use a next-gen Aisin six-speed auto. Its turbocharged 1.5-liter engine is expected to deliver up to 126kW and 265Nm of torque.

One of the most anticipated features of the GN6 is its set of safety technologies which include electronic stability program, anti-lock braking system, electronic brakeforce distribution, traction control, hill-start hold control, hill descent control, and tire pressure monitoring system. The MPV is also equipped with driver assistance features such as a rearview camera system and parking sensors.  Families should watch  for the arrival of this vehicle as it is equipped with child safety features including Isofix child seat anchors and child safety door lock on the second row.

The GN6 comes in five color selections: Pearl White, Elegant Black, Peacock Blue, Coffee Brown, and Lunar Grey. The vehicle’s exterior is embellished with dynamic LED lights, connected LED taillights, and panoramic sunroof. The GN6 also features a privacy glass on the second and third rows.

The all-new GN6 is also expected to offer a spacious cabin for up to seven people. The third-row seats will come with a folding function to allot more room for the ultra-large magic luggage space that can accommodate up to 1,100 L of cargo. The GN6 also gets a  modern cockpit with a 12.3-inch touchscreen instrument panel that allows split-screen multitasking and smartphone mirroring.

With its promising features, the GAC GN6 has the potential to be a legit contender in the ever-growing MPV market.
