Geely PH opens shop in Cagayan de Oro

MANILA: After the opening of the Geely Quezon Avenue in July, Sojitz G Auto Philippines (SGAP), official distributor of Geely vehicles in the country, formally opened a new dealership in Cagayan de Oro (CDO) yesterday.

Geely Cagayan de Oro in Northern Mindanao is under the management of one of SGAP’s partner dealers, Grand Cars, Inc.

Grand Cars, Inc. President Jan Andrew Po said, “The opening of Geely CDO might have been pushed back because of the crisis, but here we are still making things possible for our customers. Geely Cagayan de Oro is finally opening its doors to the public.”  

Grand Cars, Inc. was founded in 2000 and it takes pride in its reach in the Philippines as an official car dealer in Iloilo City, Iloilo, and in the entire Panay area.

Last February 10, Grand Cars, Inc. had officially launched the Geely brand to the public during its brand debut which was done in a CDO mall. SGAP and Grand Cars officials as well as CDO Mayor Oscar Moreno were present during their brand launch.

Mayor Oscar Moreno said, “Land travel is the name of the game in Mindanao especially now that the government is on a 'Build, Build, Build' strategy. Opening up new highways, new doors, opportunities in Mindanao… this is a good investment decision. Your (Geely’s) entry here in Cagayan de Oro is quite strategic.”

The inclusion of CDO to the SGAP network will further widen the reach of the auto brand in catering to more vehicle buyers and allowing them to have a convenient ownership experience.

According to SGAP CEO and President Mikihisa Takayama, those who will purchase brand-new vehicles in CDO and its adjacent towns will now be able to experience the superb vehicle performance and innovative technology that Geely offers.

Takayama reiterated that Geely promises a new level of customer satisfaction and experience with the adoption of the same high international standards in all its facilities.

Geely Cagayan de Oro is currently working on full operating hours, from Mondays to Saturdays (8 a.m. to 5 p.m.) and during Sundays (8:30 a.m. to noon).
