High Performance BMW X4 M40i leaked!

MANILA: The new 360 PS high performance BMW X4 M40i details and leaked pictures appeared on some active automotive portals. The car will fall between the X3 and X5 SUV while carry a stance similar to that of BMW X6. The Visual inspection clears out the fact that the coupe like structure embedded over the SUV’s platform is taken from the X6. The engine inside will feature better performance and appeal than the xDrive35i model.

Both the xDrive35i and the M40i are equipped with 3.0-litre turbo six-cylinder engines, the new M40i is capable of churning out maximum power of 360 PS and a peak torque of 465 Nm. The acceleration is also fascinating as it takes just 4.9 seconds to reach 100 km/h mark.

The M40i resembles M Sport cars with very few differences like bespoke alloy wheels along with satin gray trims on the front bumper. The tail pipe profile is a single large diameter design on both sides of the bumper.

The 35i X4 uses twin small-diameter tail pipes on the left side of the bumper which is normally used in four-cylinder engines. At the power point of view, the M40i would be a rival to the Porsche Macan S which produces 340 horses of power and 460 Nm of peak torque. There is no clue if BMW tries to make the model compete against the 400 hp, 550 Nm Porsche Macan Turbo. BMW might use the 360 PS, 465 Nm engine in the upcoming BMW M2 as well.
