Honda BR-V Shines with 5-Stars

MANILA: MIAS 2016 is just a couple of days away from its 24th edition and with so much hype in the air, the pressure on automakers on putting their best fleet forward in building up. Honda, which has already confirmed about the staging of its newest City, is very confident upon its updated lineup with the all-new Civic 2016 and Accord 2016. These 3 sedans will show-off their new faces at the Manila International Auto Show 2016 but are not the new names for any Filipino and if we talk about something absolutely new from this Japanese camp, it would be Honda BR-V for sure. The sensational crossover has already made its appearance in several auto event since its first debut at the GIIAS 2015 last year and stunned the critics and contemporaries with its all-new concept and aspects.

While the new BR-V is scheduled for a grand launch at the stage of MIAS 2016, there is another news which is whirling the automotive industry winds. The new crossover was initially taken with a hitch on safety grounds and blamed for not being 'that' safe. Following which, the 'accused' drive went through a safety and crash test and came out clean with a report stating 5-star rating, impressive indeed! The rating has been awarded by ASEAN NCAP at the Japan Automobile Research Institute where this crash test was conducted to check if the question raised on the protection of the occupants is valid or it's just another trick by the competitors to impact the sky-high sales of the car.

Proving the acquisition wrong and baseless, BR-V bagged 14.79 on the scale of 16 in the Adult Occupant protection along with 72% in the Child Occupant Protection making the designers and engineers proud of their creation. In different segments across the trims for active and passive safety, the car scored between 4 and 5 and made it loud and clear that though this car has borrowed features and mechanics along with a competitive price tag which starts at PhP 800,000 but that doesn't make it any less and the prospective customers can be confident about their safety while traveling in it. Guess, the message has been clearly received by everyone!
