Honda Motor to donate 10-M yen for Turkish-Syrian earthquake relief

MANILA: The victims of the earthquake that occurred on February 6, 2023, close to the Turkish-Syrian border, have Honda's sincere condolences. Honda Motor Co. will donate 10 million yen — or roughly P4.1 million — to the Japanese Red Cross Society in reaction to this catastrophe to aid in the relief and reconstruction efforts for the impacted areas.

More than 200 generators and other necessary items will be donated by a Honda subsidiary in Europe, Honda Motor Europe Ltd and Honda Turkiye AS, to address the most pressing requirements.

Additionally, Honda associate donations have already started to arrive at Honda subsidiaries in the US, specifically American Honda Motor Co and Honda Development and Manufacturing of America LLC, and the businesses want to increase the donation with a company matching gift.

“Honda sincerely hopes for the earliest possible recovery of the affected region,” the carmaker expressed in a statement.
