    11th-gen Honda Civic PH

Honda has always been an advocate of road safety, and HCPI was one of the first car brands in the Philippines to offer a suite of driver-assist safety features. This is in accordance with Honda’s mission to produce safe and dependable vehicles that result in zero traffic collision fatalities, allowing everyone, including pedestrians and other road users, to safely and confidently share the road.

According to a study of road accidents, many deadly mishaps are caused by vehicles deviating from their lanes. Honda Sensing was developed to detect and respond to these circumstances, including one-car accidents, collisions, pedestrian injuries, and missed road signs.

The latest version of Honda Sensing is highlighted by the use of a monocular camera that has superior recognition and can determine the distance target of the vehicle or obstructions ahead, as shown in the 11th-generation Civic. This allows the compact sedan to make use of advanced safety features such as collision mitigation braking system (CMBS) that recognizes pedestrians, bicycles, and preceding motorcycles; adaptive cruise control (ACC) with low-speed follow (LSF); lane keeping assist system (LKAS); road departure mitigation system (RDM) with lane departure warning (LDW); auto high-beam (AHB); and lead car departure notification system (LCDN).

Perfectly integrating the Honda Sensing, Honda has maintained its excellent results and safety ratings in the ASEAN NCAP for over 10 years. Honda’s commitment to safety for everyone who shares the road was recognized last January when it was named as the Best Road Safety Partner at ASEAN NCAP’s 10th anniversary celebration.

The Honda Sensing model variants that are eligible for special rates from AXA Philippines and BPI MS Insurance are Civic S Turbo, Civic V Turbo, Civic RS Turbo, CR-V S Diesel 9AT, CR-V SX Diesel 9AT, and Accord EL Turbo.

The coverage of the comprehensive motor vehicle insurance with preferred rates includes own damage/theft, acts of nature, voluntary third-party liability/excess bodily injury, voluntary third-party liability/property damage, and passenger accident (P50,000 per seat plus medical reimbursements).

In a statement, HCPI President Masahiko Nakamura said, “We would like to thank our insurance partners, AXA Philippines and BPI MS Insurance, for being one with Honda in aiming to improve road safety through this partnership and the Honda Sensing technology. We wish to continue providing our customers with safe and reliable vehicles to become the ‘power’ that supports people’s lives. We also encourage everyone in the mission to improve road safety through responsible vehicle ownership and use.”
