Hongqi to bring in EH7, EHS7 to PH market

MANILA: EVOxTerra is set to unveil two new Hongqi models in the Philippines soon.

Expected to be launched come first half of 2025, the two upcoming offerings are the EH7 and EHS7 — which were both launched at the recent Paris Motor Show.

According to the brand’s distributor in the country, both nameplates “continue to gain global recognition and popularity as parent company FAW-Hongqi continues to develop new vehicles that are technologically advanced, and feature uncompromised comfort, performance, and safety that exceed global standards.”

In a statement, Hongqi Philippines President Rashid Delgado expressed excitement over the anticipated coming of the two models.

“What you’re about to see from Hongqi isn’t just your typical vehicle rollout. What we’re about to unveil speaks to a brand-new design paradigm for Hongqi. These models reflect a radical change in our design philosophy that we believe is as modern and innovative as the technology in the cars themselves,” he shared.

Per Delgado, both the EH7 and Hongqi E-HS7 have markedly different designs from Hongqi’s current design language. He believed that with its sleek external lines and improved internal architecture, the EH7 and E-HS7 will be Hongqi’s interpretation of electric luxury.

The company executive added that the both vehicles will have next-generation battery and electric motor technology that boasts greater power efficiency.

“We are truly excited to unveil the cars to the Philippines soon! With the continuously growing highly competitive EV landscape in the country, the Hongqi EH7 and Hongqi EHS7 will both make noise and stand out in our market,” Delgado added. 

To note, Hongqi currently offers the following models in its showrooms at Bonifacio Global City, Manila Bay, Alabang, and Quezon City:
