Hyundai Ioniq with hybrid powertrain launched at MIAS

MANILA: Hyundai introduced what is considered as its most innovative product till date, the 2018 Ioniq Hybrid to the Philippines market at the ongoing Manila International Auto Show. Originally launched in 2016 at the Geneva Motor Show, the Ioniq is powered by gas-electric hybrid power setup and is one of the most affordable hybrid vehicles around.

The hybrid engine that makes this Hyundai Ioniq unique combines both the performances of the gasoline engine yielding 105 PS and 147 Nm of torque and the electric powertrain that offers 43.5 PS and 170 Nm of torque.

This sporty hatchback with a stylish look is designed using cutting-edge technology. The body of Hyundai Ioniq Hybrid is lightweight, as a combination of high-strength steel and lightweight aluminium has been used to construct it. The compact car enjoys a dimension reading 4470 mm long, 1820 mm wide, and 1460 mm high. For ensuring a better operation and handling of the vehicle, the battery is placed strategically to help in availing a balanced center of gravity.

The notable exterior features of the car include LED daylight running lamps, projector headlamps, 17-inch alloy wheels etc. The interior is also designed and stuffed with several attractive features that include cruise control, a driver’s seat that can be electrically adjusted, an array of power features, an automatic climate control system, Bluetooth,  a push-button start system, parking sensors etc.

Hyundai Ioniq Hybrid will be available for the buyers around November this year for a price of PHP 1.498 million.
