Hyundai Reina launched at Php 598,000

MANILA: We were correct! The car in the teaser image was indeed the Hyundai Reina. Following the launch of the Kia Soluto, Hyundai has introduced its offering at a lesser and very competitive price.

The Kia Soluto at Php 625,000 and the Hyundai Reina at Php 598,000 are sure to have a tough fight in the Philippine automobile market in the coming times. While the price difference of Php 27,000 may not be too great to boast of, in a price sensitive market like ours, this might just make all the difference and get Hyundai Philippines more customers than the Ayala handled Kia.

Talking a little about the newly launched Reina, the China-made sedan stands 4300 mm long, 1705 mm wide, and 1460 mm tall along with a wheelbase of 2570 mm which should offer ample room inside the car.

The 2019 Hyundai Reina specs tell us that the sedan is powered by a 1.4-litre MPI gas-fed motor capable of producing 95 PS of maximum power at 6,000 rpm and a peak torque of 132 Nm at 4,000 rpm. Power delivery to the front wheels is done by a 5-speed manual and a 4-speed automatic unit in the 1.4 GL 5MT and the 1.4 GL 4AT variants, respectively.

While the lesser price of Reina than the Soluto may seem alluring, the stuff you get is also less than what you get in the Kia sedan. At Php 598,000, you get a 2.8-inch LCD 1-DIN audio System with radio (AM/FM) and USB connectivity.

Oh no, do not even think about Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Only the front windows are powered and there’s the conventional manual air-conditioning. The good part? Well, you still get anti-lock braking, electric power steering, and dual airbags in both the variants.

As we mentioned before, the new sedan by Hyundai will be available in two variants, namely 1.4 GL 5MT and 1.4 GL 4AT. The 2019 Hyundai Reina price for the two variants is Php 589,000 and Php 648,000, respectively.
