Isuzu PH donates another D-Max pickup truck to the Red Cross

MANILA: Isuzu Philippines Corporation (IPC) has donated a brand-new D-Max to the Philippine Red Cross (PRC)-Laguna Chapter. The official turnover ceremony was spearheaded by IPC Assistant Vice President for Administration David Yandoc and IPC Sales Division Head Joseph Bautista yesterday, October 27.

The donation was accepted by Sta. Rosa, Laguna Mayor Arlene Arcillas, PRC Secretary General Elizabeth Zaballa, and PRC Laguna Chapter Administrator Frank Gray Sorromero.

IPC said in release that it acknowledges the increase need of Red Cross to respond in this challenging time, as the pandemic continues to affect vulnerable Filipinos. IPC donated one Isuzu D-Max to the organization, relying on the pickup’s versatility and dependability. This vehicle will guarantee that people of the Red Cross get where they need to go, regardless of how difficult the road conditions is, be it an off the road or a flooded area.

This is Isuzu’s third time donating a vehicle to PRC. Isuzu previously donated one D-Max 4x4 unit to support PRC’s relief and rescue operations for those affected by the Taal Volcano eruption in January 2020. IPC partnered with PRC again the following year, this time, donating an Isuzu NKR 71 food truck in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic. The food truck, which is equipped with a complete mini kitchen, assists the PRC Laguna Chapter in distributing hot meals to places affected by quarantines.

In his acceptance message, PRC Laguna Chapter Board of Directors Chairman Jaime Ching expressed his gratitude to IPC for the trust and support to the organization. He acknowledged IPC as their partner in making their job more efficient and effective. IPC was also given a plaque of appreciation for its contributions and altruistic support to the PRC Laguna Chapter’s initiatives.
