Kia SUV, an Unnamed Car to Debut at 2016 NAIAS

MANILA: A Kia SUV is about to take the spotlight at the soon to start 2016 NAIAS, the car is still unnamed and the only thing we know is that it will be a luxury-prone vehicle. The company is playing smart and is trying to build momentum around its new launch. Kia new SUV teaser image, is one of the classic trick automakers are following for generations to maintain a hype around their new creations.

Kia new SUV teaser image though doesn't say much about the car but reveals a lot about Kia’s new design shift, concentrating more on emphasizes on health and wellness.

The official teaser image from Kia shows a car splashed in shiny green color, a color reminding one of crisp green currency note (maybe this one will be a money churner for Kia). The designing looks impressive, something not seen in Kia’s kit for a long time now. What impressed us the most was its chrome connected door handles that looks new and different. Other impressive features are vertical taillights, muscular fenders flare, five-spoke alloy wheels, and straight-stiff SUV like roof line.

The 2016 North American International Auto Show will run from 9th to 14th January, and Kia new SUV launch is scheduled for 11th January, the Press Preview day. As for the Philippines market, Kia launched as many as five cars in 2015, none of them being a sport utility vehicle. So, we are expecting to see Kia SUV in the Philippines sometime in late-2016 or early 2017.

Currently, it’s the 11-seater, New Grand Carnival 11 that is making news here in the Philippines, the car runs on a 2.2-litre CRDI diesel engine that effortlessly generates 200 PS of maximum power output and 431 Nm of peak torque. The New Grand Carnival 11 price starts from PhP 1,575,000 and the company has started taking advance bookings of the same.
