Lalamove to launch new onboarding program for PUV,PUJ drivers

MANILA: Lalamove is set to commence a new program designed to bring on board thousands of public utility vehicle (PUV) and public utility jeepney (PUJ) “tsupers” as new partner drivers. 

Called the “Tuloy Biyahe Program: Tsuper Onboarding Roadshow (Continue the Journey Program: Driver Onboarding Roadshow),” it is scheduled to visit several locations around Luzon and Visayas from September-October 2024. 

For reference, here is the schedule of the Tsuper Onboarding Show:

Route 1: North and Central Luzon

• September 18 - Pampanga
• September 19 - Tarlac City
• September 20 - Baguio City

Route 2: National Capital Region & South Luzon

• September 26 - Quezon City
• September 27 - Valenzuela City
• September 30 - San Juan City
• October 1 - Lipa city

Route 3: Cebu

• October 3 - Mandaue City
• October 4 - Cebu City

To note, the onboarding roadshow by Lalamove will be organized in partnership with the respective local government units (LGU) from the locations mentioned above. Specifically, the LGUs will provide the venue for the roadshow and promote the initiative to their constituents.

As shared by the Hong Kong-based company’s local arm, the roadshow will also offer car loan options for those lacking a vehicle. Other interested individuals, meanwhile, can likewise become partner drivers by being matched by the company with existing Lalamove-verified fleet operators who are in need of drivers. 

Furthermore, attendees of the Tsuper Onboarding Roadshow will be provided a 50 percent discount on the cash deposit fee upon signing up. The first 50 onboarded partner drivers from each roadshow event, on the other hand, will be given several freebies such as Lalamove-branded vests, lanyards, and raincoats, among others. 

“Our Tuloy Biyahe program goes beyond just helping drivers find work. It’s about helping them become more financially independent. We want to see them succeed as entrepreneurs and build a brighter future for their families,” Managing Director of Lalamove Philippines Djon Nacario said.
