Lamborghini Urus Confirmed with V8 Turbo Power

MANILA: Lamborghini Urus, the most awaited SUV from this Italian sports car brand has been confirmed to be blessed with a V8 turbo engine. The stories of its powertrain has been the headlines of the news now and then where possibility of gasoline to diesel to hybrid were seen in different rounds of talk.

But, now Winkelmann the boss of Lamborghini has chosen a 4.0-litre plant for the Lamborghini Urus SUV wherein he described that this engine is a major step for them as this engine can be said as a balance between fuel economy and performance. The said engine is likely to produce big power in-spite of being less thirsty than the Lamborghini's naturally aspirated V12 or V10.

The Lamborghini Urus SUV was presented as a concept in the year 2012 and is likely to sit on VW MLB platform, same as Audi Q7 and Bentley Bentayga where this engine is believed to help it in delivering such performance which can make it the fastest SUV, a true Lamborghini, and a tight competition to others.

Lamborghini Urus spec haven't been disclosed yet, but will feature something massive for the classes. The story doesn't end here, the twist comes with a statement of Winkelmann that there is a possibility of a hybrid powertrain for this all-wheel drive SUV as Lambos are being engineered for electric motors simultaneously. He also mentioned that the car will be in production by 2017 where it may debut at 2018 Geneva Motor Show or can be preponed to 2017 Frankfurt Motor Show.
