Lotus Elise Classic Heritage editions revealed
MANILA: Lotus has rolled out four all-new Elise Classic Heritage editions, with each having a unique and vibrant color palette. The release of these classic Elise editions serves as a tribute to their highly successful and groundbreaking racing history.
The Lotus Elise is regarded as a symbol of lightweight performance vehicle engineering and design. Constructed around its driver-focused interior, it offers real, dynamic, and thrilling on-road experience with exceptional handling and ride.
Officially called the Elise Classic Heritage Models, these four versions bring an improved interior and exterior design over the Elise Sport 220 which inspire them. They are also available for sale in selected global markets.

The variations' exterior colors are blue and white; blue, red, and silver; white and gray; violet, red, and silver; red, white, and gold; and black and gold. The iconic black and gold color scheme reflects the Lotus Model 72D livery that Emerson Fittipaldi was able to drive and win five times with during the Formula 1 season in 1972. The Red, white, and gold scheme mirrors the Type 49B that Graham Hill drove in 1968. On the other hand, the blue, red, and silver version is based on the Lotus Type 81 of 1980 that Mario Andretti, Elio de Angelis, and Nigel Mansell drove.
The fourth new Elise, which has a white and blue finish, honors the design of the 1960 Lotus Type 18 model. Sixty years ago, it was the first Lotus model to gain a Formula 1 victory and position at the Monaco Grand Prix, with the help of the late Sir Stirling Moss.
Motorsport aficionados worldwide can instantly identify the distinctive color schemes of the Elise. Aside from its various color schemes, every model has a uniquely numbered “build plaque” placed on the dashboard, which refers to the limited manufacturing process. Only 100 cars will be initially produced, and the customer demand determines the final numbers for each model.
Lotus engineering offers an extensive consultation service that deals with many of the Tier 1 distributors and OEMs around the world. It is known globally for its longtime commitment to pioneering vehicle development and automotive engineering, which is evident in the four Elise Classic Heritage models.
As a standard, every Elise model has a range of features that were formerly on the list of options. These features include a black floor-matted carpet, two-piece disc brakes, ultra-lightweight forged alloy wheels having a racing livery finish, cruise control, efficient ventilation, and DAB digital radio with four speakers.
Another standard that was incorporated is the Elise interior color pack. Elements involve the dashboard selecting significant colors, gear selector surround, door detailing, as well as central seat insert and upper door trim finished to match with the exterior. The only difference is the red Alcantara seat centers that can be seen in the blue and white model.
There are some optional accessories for each vehicle, which include a lightweight titanium exhaust, lightweight lithium-ion battery, and hardtop fiberglass roof.
Lotus product marketing head Ema Forster said that for more than seven decades, motorsport success has been at the core of the Lotus ideology. Elise is the legendary roadster of the company recognized around the world for its outstanding “for the drivers” performance. She also pointed out that the best way to celebrate this is putting together two outstanding pillars of the auto brand and showcasing four new Elise Classic Heritage editions that motorsport enthusiasts will easily recognize.
