Mercedes-Benz to launch all-new VLE on March 10
Brand’s first-ever model based on the new modular and scalable van architecture
MANILA: Mercedes-Benz is gearing up to launch the all-new VLE all-electric multi-purpose vehicle (MPV) this coming March 10, 2026. Its introduction will be via a live stream on the German marque’s official website. The said stream will start at 7 p.m. Central European Time (CET), or around 2 a.m. Manila time.

In addition, the upcoming Mercedes-Benz VLE is said to offer the “driving dynamics of a sedan.” It will also come equipped with innovative features that make it suitable as a comfy family chariot, a platform for leisure activities, or a premium transport solution.

The model was likewise developed with extensive testing and retooling of the Mercedes-Benz Vitoria plant.

While having a large on-road presence, the VLE, Mercedes-Benz says, has received top marks from wind tunnel tests. It also completed its long-distance test drive from Stuttgart, Germany, across the Alps to Rome, Italy. In this test, the upcoming electric vehicle only required two 15-minute charging stops.
For reference, the Mercedes-Benz VLE’s journey from Stuttgart to Rome is approximately 1,000 kilometers.
Moreover, the VLE was likewise subjected to an oval track test in Nardò, Italy. As Mercedes-Benz shared, the vehicle showcased notable agility and driving dynamics.
