MIAS 2026: GWM PH previews Ora 5, Haval H7, Tank 700 Hi-4Z in 8 pictures

MANILA: GWM (Great Wall Motors) Philippines has previewed the Ora 5, Haval H7, and Tank 700 Hi-4Z at the ongoing Manila International Auto Show (MIAS) 2026. 

The three models were showcased at the brand’s booth following the teaser that the Luxuriant Automotive Group Incorporated-led automotive distributor shared prior to the four-day motoring event. However, no details were given during the presentation. 

While waiting, here are the possible specifications of the soon-to-be-retailed GWM models as seen in markets abroad.

Ora 5

In Thailand, the GWM Ora 5 is available in two engine options: fully electric and hybrid. The battery-electric powered option is fitted with a 58.3-kilowatt-hour (kWh) lithium-ion battery while the hybrid type, a 1.09-kWh version.

Their performance also varies as the hybrid version can dish out offers more power and oomph than the BEV variation.

Amid the differences, both versions of GWM Ora 5 are fitted with amenities namely:

• Adjustable regenerative braking
• Muti-sound pedestrian warning system
• Electronic parking brake with auto-hold
• 2-liter cooling storage box
• 25-inch digital instrument cluster
• 6-inch infotainment system (wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay)
• Wireless charging dock (on higher trims)

Further, the vehicle might be outfitted with technologies like:

• Adaptive cruise control
• Front collision warning
• Automatic emergency braking
• Traffic sign recognition
• Speed limit warning
• Lane keep assist
• Lane departure warning

No pricing details for the Philippine market for the GWM Ora 5 were disclosed, but the brand said that it is due for a local launch within the year. 

Haval H7

In New Zealand, the GWM Haval H7 is propelled by a 1.5-liter gasoline-powered Euro 5-rated hybrid mill mated to a dedicated hybrid transmission (in a two-wheel-drive configuration).

Pricing for the Philippine-spec Haval H7 is yet to be published by GWM’s local arm, but it is already available for pre-orders. At the 2026 MIAS, the said model’s reservation fee is set at P2,000.

Tank 700 Hi-4Z

Further, the GWM Tank 700 seen in the United Arab Emirates is a plug-in hybrid version off-roader that comes with a 3.0-liter V6 engine with electric motors. With it, the model can reach 100 kilometers per hour from standstill in around five seconds and can cover a little over 100 kilometers in electric-only mode.

Despite being a full-size SUV, the GWM Tank 700 has a five-seater configuration.

Notably, the GWM Tank 700 Hi-4Z was launched in China just a few days ago. On that note, the Philippines will be the first market to receive this model. On the one hand, it will be sold as a special order from GWM Philippines, with pricing details available only from authorized dealerships.
